Remarks
I had applied to jadavpur university but did not get admission because I did have a JEE MAIN score and my graduation score was also very less. There were no other good options other than Jadavpur unversity and SISTec. AT SISTec, I had to register first, then during the DTE Counselling process online registration is done, then documents get verified, and allotment letter is release. I did all the online process by myself and went to the college once my allotment was finalized.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had not read the curriculum in advance just knew about the cousre ,i.e.Btech,during my classes I understood the relevance. The structure given by unversity was not well drafted but some of the additional courses by my college wre much appreciated like excel training. Teaching methodology was good, the university need to upgrade the syllubus to match the current scenario. The course had weekly assessments and mid - semester exams which were very beneficial. The end term were comprehensive and challenging. Overall the schedule was manageable and difficult level was appropriate for BTECH program.
Internships Opportunities
My senior did intership with SISTEC-R, a sister concern of SISTec,and got 12k as stipend. My senior batch got placed in various companies between the range of 10k-18k stipend. My one senior has 30k in this intership
Placement Experience
The campus placements for BTECH are available in 7th semester. I sat in wipro campus drive at 3.6 LPA but did not selected during my gap tear also I was unwilling to relocate to bangalore. IN my batch 100% of students got placed, and the average was around 3.6LPA. ULTImately I got an in-house placement in one of the sister concerns of the institute.
Fees and Financial Aid
Course Fees: 97500 per year T&P Charges: 3780(one time, paid during 1st year) Caution Money: 1500(Refundable and paid during registration) Registration Charges: 3000(one time) I did not avail any scholarship
Campus Life
My overall experience was good. I was a member of the student activity council in the photography committee and ultimately chose it as my career. The annual fest sagar fiesta is happen in march. The library had a range of management books. Sports activities were limited for day scholars.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio was 1:30. The faculty members were very approachable. Many times they had given me attention to my doubts during their free lecture. My favorite teacher were Mythily Mahalingam Ma'am and Pranjali Bisht Ma'am. There are 8 main exam and 16 mid- semester exams. They were fairly easy if you had daily attendance. Almost in all semesters,90%of students cleared the exam. The course curriculum was also very relevent.
Night Life
There was no nightlife for day scholars.Hostel students used to have an evening library and across to the swimming pool and indoor sports. My favorite place was the canteen and verandah outside it. My college timing was 9:00 am tp 4:10pm. We had 1 lecture of the library every week. Outside life is very good.
