College review

The college is overall good in various matters. But i personally don't like the college. It's my worst experience being here. Prestigious college for women's. The college is very is very active in extension activities through the NSS, NCC, the eco club and several clubs run by the department.

The college is autonomous and is a constituent of Kolhan University. It was very good. The B.Com course is based on CBCS(Choice Based Credit System) pattern. So we have the freedom to select our choice of subjects which we want to study. The B.Com course is for 3 years each year divided in two semesters. Each semester has five subjects.

Internship is provided by college. In college web teams work for a period of two months at a stipend of 10000. Apart from this it giants like amazon, Microsoft where the major attractions are. Major recruiters for interns in Computer Science was UHG taking 8 students.

Job opportunities are OK. Hcl, infosys, tcs, ibm, etc. all come here for placement and take students from different streams. It is a good advantage for the students who are job seekers and need a good career start. All struggle we had to do these years proved fruitful.

The college organises various fests all over tge year. On the ocassion of Women's Day every year a mega fest is organised by the college. The college also organises many conferences at national and international level. The organization is very well and the college authorities did contribute for the same.

The fees are very affordable. The yearly fees amounts to less than Rs. 6000 payable in two semesters. At the time of admission fees is Rs. 3000 and after that you have to pay Rs. 2000 for admission in each semester and Rs. 1600 for examination in every semester. The above fees structure is for General Category students. For SC/ST studebts they get concession in the fees. Even students admitted through sports quota and get scholarship too.

Yes the college provides scholarship to the Scheduled caste and scheduled tribe students. The college also provides scholarship to sports quota students as well. And the college helps the student in getting loans.

The college organizes various inter college competitions and is very active in extracurricular activities. Everyone gets ample opportunities to explore their inner talent. The Lucus Pacioli Club of the commerce department organises a debate and poem recitation fest every year.

The college have two hostel in the college campus.C.V. Raman hostel and Mahadevi Verma hostel.The hostel roons are on sharing basis.The rooms are on sharing basis.There are 3 bed rooms and 6 bed rooms available in the hostel. The hostel fees are very affordable. It is around 2000 per month which includes the mess charge as well. Phones and any electronics are not allowed in the hostel. No outings. Rules and regulations are terrible.

The alumni of the college is very supportive. Yes the college provides facility of student-alumni interaction during the orientation ceremony for the students. They always come forward be it academic, financial or any help. We have an Alumni team here to maintain the good connection institute and the alumnis.

Exams are held semester wise. So every six months we have our end semester exams in the month of May and December. And in-between mid semester exams of 20 marks are held in the month of September and March. We don't feel tired at all the exams here are a chill culture.

Selection of candidate for admission is made on the basis of candidate's scores acquired in their previous exams. For admission in UG courses, a student should have passed the intermediate examination. For applying in honours courses, minimum qualifying marks is 45% in the concerned subject. They offer application form, once you applied for the concerned course they provide merit list and after the merit list you have to go through some verification process and thats it.

Faculty was well qualified having good technological views over management classes. They just trend us for future entrepreneur. They use new method and technology for teaching. As per tye new government rule they have atleast their PHD degree to be eligible to teach. Standard as mentioned earlier is very good most of them have a vast experience of over20 years of teaching.
