My views about ISM patna

The biggest positive about the college is they try their level best in providing the students best in receiving the right exposure to the students. The negative thing is the lack of holiday that is really a very bad thing that I have face because it becomes very difficult to get a break from the college.

The course curriculum is quite updated and is in consistent requirement of the industry. College is working continuously to give exposure to the student that they would need in their work. For that we have been sent to various industrial visit in many companies in Patna.

Yes college provides internship and since currently I am in first year only so can't say much about the stipends. But whatsoever the knowledge i have obtained from the previous batch stipends are not provided in the internship in usual cases except few.

The placement is again moderate when it comes to overall placement. May be a couple of student gets above 5lakh but the average package ranges between 3.5-4lakh. But job opportunities are provided to the students if not on campus then through off campus it is tried.

When it comes to events ISM patna has plenty of that the Biggest is the ISM meet where number of events are organised after that there is an National management summit held every year. Then the college has various events on the festive seasons.

No the fees structure is quite feasible in comparison to other b-school. Plus the fess structure is required to be paid in installments which reduced the burden of paying the amount and in every six months they divide the whole college fees which makes the college fees quite affordable.

Yes the college has tie up with many banks and also tries to get loan under the Bihar State government student credit card if anyone fulfills these criteria. And college provides every assistance required for getting access to the education loan facility.

Yes extracurricular activities are done in the college there's always an event to promote the hidden talent in the students. We have singing and dancing competition plus poetry and sports competition happening every year.

The hostel infrastructure is again moderate not very good and not very bad also. All the basic facilities for daily living is there in the hostel plus mess has also decent hygienic food and sometimes the food is very tasty and sometimes it's okay. So overall the food in the mess is also quite decent.

This is one of the very good thing about the college that college has always been in touch with its previous alumni so as to create a network of student throughout the country being there for any student assistance. To an extent I have found the senior in the college also helpful.

The college follows a trimester system in which every year there is a three trimester and in the duration of two years we have six trimester throughout the PGDM course. and in each trimester there is a mid term and end term. Apart from that there is presentations, assignments, case studies that is must for every student.

The admission process requires a scorecard of any mba entrance exam like cat, mat, cmat, xat. Although I have given CMAT but any one of the above mentioned exams scorecard is acceptable and apart from that there is group discussion and personal interview done. After which the candidate's are selected for admission to PGDM course.

The overall faculty is moderate. But the marketing department of ISM patna is the best as all the best faculties of the college are from marketing department only. After that finance and HRM department faculty comes. So in my view the college has best marketing faculty throughout Bihar. If not India
