Dislikes
- placements was only available for masters students (MBA) and people who are in tech (mainly B.TECH)
- the documentation process and fees depositing is very much frustrating students have to provide their account statement to ensure whether the scholarship has been received by them and it takes lot of time
- lack of recognition outside doaba region or outside the state because the college is small and is not popular
Course Curriculum Overview
BBA is a course related to business and management it is a technical and practical course and less theoretical which is what I like the curriculum of this course is similar to that of b.com but includes fewer accounting and finance subjects. My favorite subjects in the course were operational research, Organizational behavior, and Mercantile law. The course is designed to help the student get industry-specific knowledge and skills. There is also an industrial visit to help the students to get practical knowledge. After a BBA if a person does an MBA he will get a better salary and a better role compared to a BBA alone person can also opt for an LLB if he wants to get into law or become a corporate lawyer. As per the curriculum, this course needs to teach students AI tools and the college should provide internship opportunities for undergrad students the placements should also be held for the graduate students. The exam frequency was every six months as per the difficulty level it is easy to moderate most questions were from the previous year's question which can be viewed on the PTUEXAM site or BRPAPER site.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee varies from course to course for BBA the tuition fee for odd semesters (1st,3rd,5th) was 23000 each and for even semesters (2nd,4th,6th) the tuition fee was 23000 each making a total of 40000 per year and 120000 for the whole course. The hostel fee was 6500 per semester i did not opt for the hostel facility so I don't know the detailed fee of the hostel. Caution fees were none, the registration and admission fees were 5000 combined Along with that the charges for a library card were 100 one time after that if the student lost it for any reason the extra 100 will be paid to the college for issuing the new library card certain charges like on farewell, parties, functions students have to contribute 500 each. The fees do not depend on the student category but scholarship opportunities are available for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS candidates. Other than that if someone holds merit he or can reduce his fees/waive his fees to do that he/she has to write an application to the head of that particular department(HOD). The main scholarship that is available for (SC, ST, OBC, and EWS) is DR BR AMBEDKAR SCHOLARSHIP PORTAL and for merit-based scholarship, students have to write the application to the HODs.
Campus Life
The annual function in the college was named Tech Symphonic every year in February or March month. This function had various events done by the students like rangoli, fashion show, salad making, treasure hunt, on-the-spot photography, solo dance, group dance, folk dance, best out of waste, lan gaming, business plan, cad hunt, etc. Other than that The parties are organized on Lohri, Vaishali, Holi, and Diwali. Also, there is a freshers party and farewell party every year. Almost all the parties and festivals are either held on the main ground or in the auditorium. The library in the college is very good almost every kind of book is available in limited quantity for the courses offered by the college.in the library, there are two newspapers and various magazines that can provide knowledge related to current affairs. The classrooms are like normal classrooms but they are equipped with projectors. For sports, there are only two games available basketball and volleyball. There are no social clubs in the college.
Admission
I only applied to this college because of its fee structure and this college was near and it was easy to attend the college. The Admission opens from September to October every year if you are a student who is eligible for the scholarship you should try to get admission as early as possible because there is a limited quota for reservation-based scholarships which is filled easily. As per the exam, the college doesn't require any exam for admission for any course students just have to qualify for the minimum requirements which are needed for the course like educational background, age, etc.
Faculty
The facility-to-student ratio is low approx 1:50.But the relationship between the student and teacher is good because most of the teachers are well educated and qualified some hold doctorate degrees and some have qualified UGC NET examination. Mrs. Simranjit Kaur and Mrs. Banita Thakur were my favorite teachers their way of teaching was good. There was one teacher who was hated by many students named Mrs. Ramandeep she was very rude and was later transferred to another college. The examination structure is, The main exams which happen every 6 months, MSTs (mid-term examinations) held twice in 6 months, and normal tests every month. The failing percentage in my class was approximately 25% in the main examination and in MSTs and normal tests almost everyone passed few students failed
Night Life
There are no gyms in the college, two cafeterias, and one canteen are available. There are three libraries in the college one in each building. The college timing is 9 am to 4 pm after that the college will close. I don't have information relating to the late-night locality because I was a regular student and did not opt for the hostel.
