Course Curriculum Overview
MBBS is 4.5 years course, you can't predict how a student is in his initial year and 2 nd year, drastic changes in students appear. In first year the academics was quite serious about attendance, but in second year they provided bit of relaxation in terms of attendance...3rd is more chill and likewise. The course is extremely competitive and hectic.you have to get up at 7 and be prepared for class at 8. In 2nd year through the clinical postings we get to learn a lot about real life medicine as practical knowledge is more important than theoretical knowledge. The JRs and SRs and our beloved seniors are extremely helpful with our work. There's a hierarchy which must be followed in the this career. After clearing NEET and waiting for 1st year to over, you finally get to visit patients which is a different level of satisfaction for the MBBS aspiring or pursuing students
Internships Opportunities
MBBS is a 4.5 years course with a one year compulsory internship. Then only you'll get your Mbbs degree. During the internship you get a stipend of INR 35,000/- . There's also a service bond present in all ESIC Medical Colleges. This is a one year service bond, in which you have to do the internship with a salary of INR 1,00,000/- only . Or otherwise you have to pay INR 5,00,000/- as penalty.

Campus Life
Many cultural events takes place here in my College. The cultural fest is called PRAVAH , and it happens every year. And other small celebrations like Saraswati Puja, Diwali, Holi, New Year , Dawat-e-Iftaar are organised very well here. Students from other colleges also visit here during our fests. Campus Life is extremely good, but the Hostel guards and warden won't let you out of the hostel after 11:00 pm. But exploring every departments and meeting new patients makes everything good. There's a college ground in which sports events are organised. We even have a ground present in our hostel. College has a world class Library and World class Auditorium and World Class Badminton court and World class Gymkhana. With each and every equipments present
Hostel Facilities
As compared to the other state medical colleges , I feel extremely lucky to have gotten admission here when it comes to hostel facilities. After seeing the extremely old and clumsy hostel buildings of other colleges, I feel that in terms of infrastructure and facilities my college has done an extremely good job. There is availability of lift, free WiFi , gym, laundry, and a ground inside the Boy's Hostel.
Admission
My Home Town is Patna , and this college is extremely close to my home, that's the main reason I opted for this College. This college is completely funded by the central government and so there is no lack of resources, equipments, or Machines required. The infrastructure of the college is extremely modern and high class. In the comparison with other colleges, you can easily tell the difference between other state colleges and ESIC Medical College. In other state colleges, infrastructure is very old and outdated. In some colleges Even cadavers are not present which very essential for the Anatomy in first year. This college has IP quota present that is students from all over India are present here. providing a diversity in Culture here. Easy access to Patna and central government funding makes one of the best medical Colleges in the state of Bihar
Faculty
Well in the terms of faculties I can say that this college really has collection of gems when it comes to academics. The HODs of all the first year departments are really an expert in their fields. Physiology- Dr. Pandurang M Narhare sir Biochemistry - Dr. Cheliah Selva Kumar sir Anatomy - Dr. Sudipa Biswas Ma'am Faculties are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Well for the internal exams I would say that the passing percentage is very less, in the first internal assessment examination of 1st year only 8 students were passed in physiology, I was one of them( not bragging). You can't predict any one on the basis of marks in MBBS tho. In our University examination everyone performed well only 6-7 students appeared for supplementary examination.
Night Life
The closing time for Gym, Cafeterias , library are 11:00pm. This is the only drawback here. No one's allowed to leave the campus without permission after 10 pm . No good hangout spots present near the college. To chill one has to either go to Patna or go near IIT Patna's campus where cafe's like CSB and MNC are present. No night clubs near the college makes it extremely boring for the night life at my college. The area of bihta isn't that safe to roam at anytime or anywhere. As the crime rates of this area is very high, many murders and trafficking are done in this area.
