Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum is changed after getting university status. In the first year ..you will be studying the common subjects like Physics chemistry basic electrical electronics maths etc From the 2nd year you will be reading your domain subjects.

Internships Opportunities

3

It provides internships from many companies. There is a summer internship/course after every year. It carries 1 credit to your cgpa. The major skills required are. Development DBMS DSA etc .you will get all the resources from the internet.

Placement Experience

2

It has average placements.Average package is 4-4.5 lakhs per year. For 2025 batch..the companies I know which visited the campus are Infosys Accenture, Capgemini ,Genpact ,Sasken technologies, Cozentus, Haber, Eva,Pcon utilities, Deloitte, Hp labs, Rashmi group, Jindal etc. Students become eligible from the 7th semester. It has also practice school from where you can do paid internships in 7th or 8th semester. For 2024 batch the placement rate was low due to recession.Avg was 4 lpa and highest was 32.5 lpa( off campus from Flipkart).

Fees and Financial Aid

After getting university status ..it has increased its fees. Tution fees-210k/yr Hostel fees _40k-60k /yr(depending on the type) Mess fees-45k/yr You can also get tfw(scholarship) if you have a better rank in jee mains. Then the tution fees will be 75k/yr

Campus Life

3

There are lot of fest and club..There is badminton court ,basketball ground football ground etc. There is a skylab where you can chill. Cafeteria ..1 food store and Ashok bhai store where you can get your essentials.

Hostel Facilities

4

I am living in non AC room(4 sharing). You will get one almirah bed,one window and 2 fans. But there is only one plug point for non AC rooms so toh have to bring your extension chords. Mess food is better compared to other colleges. There are two canteens- veg and non veg canteen.

Admission

I got this this college from Ojee counselling. I was also getting core branches like mechanical civil in top colleges like Vssut burla Outr bhubaneshwar etc.But I wanted Cse so I chose this college. The reason I chose was its fees. You can get admission here by jee mains rank. Eligibility-45% in pcm in class 12th which is very easy. It has also stated its own counselling from 2024

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is good. You can also consult to any teachers during consultancy hours. One section has 60-70 students . Faculties are average..some are good. There are 8 semesters. 1 semester has 2 exams - mid term (20 marks)and end term(50 marks) Exams are very strict.you have to atleast start studying 2 week before exams

Night Life

3

The collage is very strict in everything..You cannot go out after 7 p.m. The campus is very small...you can walk in the night after your dinner. A library is also there where you can get wifi and study. It is open till 9 p.m. There are some rules for the 1st year students..like non entry in skylab and to be in formals.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
