Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is quite good and structured. Students not need to worry about the syllabus, it gets completed on time before semester ends. Syllabus is not much vast so that students get ample amount of time to work on their skill sets. Courses are structured as per the outcomes that student should be able to solve any real-world problem.

Internships Opportunities

3

For Internship drives, college helps students to prepare for companies prior by taking mock tests. Companies such as Master Card, BMC Softwares, BNY Mellon, Tracelink, Dell Technologies, Arista Networks, Northern Trust, etc., arrives in the college.

Placement Experience

4

College provides Internship Drives and Placement Drive in the third and fourth year respectively. For Internhsips, around 15-20 companies visit and for Placements more than 100 companies visits. The companies have different criteria to shortlist students, sometimes they are helding Hackathons and sometimes they take Coding Assessments. For Computer department, the average students placed till date is 97%.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees for general category students is approximately 95000/- (yearly). For other categories students the college fees is half of this. Yes, college provide different scholarships to students based on their categories. SC/ST category students does not need to pay full amount of the fees, they are just required to pay their exam fees which is common for all students i.e, 1000/- (semester-wise).

Campus Life

4

The overall exposure of the campus is quite descent. As all nerdy students are getting admitted into it. There is tough competitions academic wise as well as from social perspective. Many of the students are involved in the club activited after college hours. The college allows students to participate in different club activites and competitions. Infrastructure is developing.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities include: Daily cleaning of the rooms, Stable and private internet connections in each room, Laundry facilities are available for hostel students only, Parking is available, Mess is included in the hostel fees (Lunch and Dinner only). Registration process is quite easy.

Admission

I chose this college because on my merit basis. As I want to opt for Computer Science branch and this college has quite good results in Computer Engineering regarding placements. In other colleges, I was getting other branches in which I have no interest. Also after doing thorough reseacrh about this college, I took admission in it.

Faculty

4

Faculty-to-student ratio is around1:5. Faculty student relationship is quite friendly and professional. They are quite approachable. The course structure is: there are 5 courses every semester out of which 2 courses do compulsorily have labs both practical and tutorial. For third year students, there are 4 theory courses and 1 elective subject. Third year students also offered with Honors. Per semester there are 2 exams, 1 is In-semester exam (30 marks) and other is End-semester exam (70 marks). Also for every courses, there is Term Work (25 marks).

Night Life

4

Truly, there is not nightlife inside the campus atleast for Hostel students. As the in-time for hostel students is 10 pm which every student thinks is so early. But I think, its for our safety. So, most of the students are staying outside the campus in PG or Flats. There are many options available for mess, PGs, and Flats around 1 km of campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is okay if you’re serious and self-motivated. Teachers will help, but you have to go beyond the textbook to really succeed. If the college modernized its syllabus a bit and made the teaching more practical, this course could be a lot more valuable for today’s job market.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from Bsc. 3rd year and Masters 2nd year for placements. The average package lies between 300000 to 400000, however the package is entirely negotiable based on the students' calibre. 70% of students are placed every year. I plan to practise in central or state forensic science laboratory after completion of my degree.
