All about NIU

the curriculum is based on Naac and is similar to other colleges, if you consider major subjects there wont be any lacked as an engineering student . there would be some subjects that would be really important and some that are required to be passed only. the curriculum can be improved by adding research based subjects and new demanding technologies instead of old traditionals one. As per the difficulty level the timing and frequency of exams is manageable not problamatic. I have scored in 70s-80s in my school and here i am able to manage my cgpa in 8 -9.

I have not got any internships yet but it is provided by college the roles differ from software developer to datascience, ai and other in our department. you will need to qualify for that by getting thriugh all the process required like aptitude, technical round and interview. good projects really help in interview if you have got deep knowledge of what you have implemented.

Mostly from 6 semester you are eligible to work anywhere and ask for your NOC but if consider campus placements you are eligible to sit in beginning and between your last year (in 7 or 8 semester) companies visited are mostly service-based and startups but it gets improved every year. Tcs ,wipro,accenture and few other) the average package expected gets around 5-6 lpa and higher as well the percentage of students getting placed is about 60% My plans after the degree is to sit for placements though i also plan to do my masters from abroad.

so the fees for a year is 132000 (as 66000 per semester) and it remains same for the duration of course .though it gets increased every year for freshers. here is the breakup- tutuion fees -53000 exam fees- 12000 activity fees-1000 Do consider a hike of 10-15% in total as the data is as of 2022 when i took admission. still if you compare with other colleges there it is quite affordable. For SC and ST there is no as such scholarships. though you must consult admission deptt before taking admission You can scholarships on the basis of merit while taking admissions.and once you get enrolled you can apply for govt scholarships like UP ..if u got selected expect about 55000 to get paid (+1 here if you are OBC ,SC or ST)

the annual fest is organized in december with Dj night and alot of other competetions in various clubs (be it singing, dancing, bands, painting, mimicking etc.) the fest is really fun. the availabiltiy of books is really good you can easily get your course books from library also e-library is available. the facilties in classroom includes projectors and smart boards but not every class is air-conditioned the sports ,NSS, NCC is also there and offers different different activities over time. You can join technical club and others and it will make you explore alot other than studies.

the facilties include ac or cooler ( meant to be chosen ),attached washrooms with gycer and other basic facilties. Rooms are available as single occupency ,double or triple sharing AC is optional (and charges more) Meal is ofcourse not really good but can be eaten to survive . there is alot of options to choose from different hostel to pgs or flats .first come and explore and can see what suits you best. registration is simple it can be done along admission by paying annual fees of hostel (typically 1.5 to 2 lacs)

the other colleges i applied was through counselling of AKTU but i was not able to get CS in the colleges I applied. also i visited this college and really find it affordable and liked it as it offered me CS directly. yes I got rejected in some colleges I applied as my score of JEE was not 90 percentile+. here at NIU the admission process is really simple. Requirements include being eligible for the course and availability of seats. (being eligible with good marks in 12 in pcm will get you some scholarship as well .

the faculty to student ratio is appreciable. The faculties of our department are really approachable. sometimes the management within the departments lacks but it gets managed the only problem is that alot of faculties keep quiting the university especially the good ones. The best faculties that left college includes (Abhinav Srivastava sir, Kunwar Babar sir ,Sneha mam, Abhilekha mam, Pragya Mam etc) but the current faculties who are really GOOD includes our HOD Arjit Tomar sir and faculties from placement are really really best including Vibha Khajanchi mam, Prashant sir and Vikas sir as thier teachings and trainings are really appreciable. and talking about EXAMS it is based semester wise in our time the mid-sem was included but now only the end-sem of 60 marks happened and rest 40 marks are assignments,attendance and presentations. more than 60% students clear exams in one go (the exams are really not difficult attending classes regularly is enough to score well. )

Hostels for our university are NOT in campus it is provided at 10-15 km distance from campus that is in knowledge park though bus facility is provided time to time . So living outside campus -library, cafeteria and other food spots are accesible till 5 or 6 in the evening. the locality of hostel is safe to roam outside but the greater noida is all like deserted somewhat. hostel timings differ but you can manage as per you.
