M. A. History in MKU

The courses and varied subject aspects are useful for different careers. It's a great opportunity ranging from history related career and even journalists, etc. The curriculum so far added even offers to choose another department not related with history in 2 semesters as elective subjects which gives the opportunity to learn and widen our scopes. Exam frequentcy is regular, mostly after completion of each unit which helps to go smoothly the taught and learned syllabus in a row.

Pongal is mainly celebrated in January and every department celebrates pongal which many learn and feel the unity in festivals and culture. Libraries are well updates with most of our required choices.

I applied to Delhi University, Benaras Hindu University, Punjab University and NEHU. Unfortunately, by the time of admission for these universities, my UG college was not announcing the results yet and therefore, couldn't admit to those universities without submitting marksheets. The present University allows me as a latecomer.

All the professors are great and transfer knowledge in an easy way. Very Interactive. There is 3 internal exams of 25 marks each from which 2 best mark scored will be converted into the internal marks along with other project, assignment and attendance. 1 main external exam each semester for 75 marks. Exams are easy if learnt and studied consistently.

Gym is available in every hostel block. Cafeterias available with good and cheap rates. Hostel prohibits entry after 6pm. It is quite safe to stay in hostel. Library and areas around the library are a healthy environment of big career aspirants as many would seaf and study everywhere.
