Dislikes
- Placement rate was disappointing, particulary for non-IT branches. Many students struggled to find suitable placements despite their efforts.
- The college facilities and infrastructure were outdate, which affected the learning experience.
- Campus life was very poor. Unlike other institutions, there was a lack of extracurricular activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
I could say that it terms of curriculum covers a wide range of subject, providing students with solid foundation in their chosen fields. my course also included subjects like project management, disaster management, qualitative aptitude and logical reasoning, accounting, commerce and many other imporatant management subjects which is helping me now as I am working as a project manager..
Internships Opportunities
In my 3rd year I have done an internship of 6 weeks on Data science and Cloud solutions which was organised by 3CORTEX Hyderabad and I3C KITSW. We had an online internship which was very much interesting. We paid Rs.500 for this internship which was worth it I could say.We have done projects one was minor and other was major. Minor project was done by one member only where as maor proect was group project. Each weekend we had a presentation on this.
Placement Experience
The placements are very low for non IT branches. Most of the placements are for software branches like CSE ,IT.Students placement drive starts from 3rd year itself. Most of the companies start visiting our college for placements. The ones with many backlogs are not allowed for drives.many companines visited our college like Genpact,Accenture, TCS, CISCO systems, D-mart, Cognizant,Capital first, Yellow Messenger,Renault Nissan and many more.Percentage of students getting placements are 60%I planned to work remotely after getting my degree as Iam not very comfortable going out and working.
Fees and Financial Aid
The detailed fee structure for my B.Tech program ,due to the schlorship, I was only required to pay the registration and library fee which was around Rs.6000/-.Apart from these I didnt have to pay any other costs for the course. The schlorship I received is specially for muslim girls, aimed at encouraging higher education among minority communities. For my batchmates, the annual fee was approximtely Rs.1,35,000,which included tution fees, registration fees, admission fees, library fees and other compulsory charges. However ,I was fortunate to receive a scholarship under the Muslim Minority Scholarship Scheme.some of my peers receied scholarship under SC/ST categories, but many did not get any financial assistance and had to pay the full fees. For the students without scholarships, the total fees for the entire course were around Rs.5,40,000.As far as I am aware, there was no significant increase in fees during my time in the program.
Campus Life
We had Sanskriti as Cultural Fest and Sumshodhini as Technical fest for 3 years but in final year we didnt hae any of these.Due to some other reasons. In Sanskriti many celebrities would come to perform like singers and musicians as well. The library were full of books which had books of all subjects that we had in our engineering. Many cricket matches would happen at the weekends in our playground.
Admission
The reason behind choosing this college is it comes under the top college in my city and also most of my friends were joining this college so, this is the reason why I have joined this college. I have applied for Information Technology in Kakatiya Uniersity because my father wanted me to join their but later when we went to see that college we realized that the college has very poor infrastructure and outdated labs. then my father understood that this college is not good for me. when I compare my college with other college my college faculty are very much experienced. my college is almost 45 years old other colleges are very new and the faculty is also not experienced.
Faculty
I could say that some of the faculty members were very much friendly to us and very supportive and also very approchable. The faculty to student ratio is 1: 53. one of my professor who taught me electronic devices and application course were very much approchable and guided us in every thing. He always explained us some of the important life lessons. His classes were very interesting. we all loved the way he taught us. moreover my counsellor was very much strict she always instructed me to maintain my attendence. however I was always conscious about it but still she was not satisfied with my performance. she was not at all approachable and very unfriendly at the same time.
Night Life
We have gym in the Indoor stadium which had basic gym equipments which were very much outdated. It needs a lot of improvement. In my first 2 years we had a very small canteen only few members were able to sit and chill at the same time but in 3rd year a new canteen was opened which was very big and very clean as well.It had alot of food options.Me and my friends used to bunk classes and sit their and had food and tea as well.It was ery much fun.canteen was the place where we used to hangout the most.
Other Applied Colleges
Kakatiya University - [KU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Information Technology)
I chose not to opt for that college because the campus infrastructure did not meet my expectations, & I felt the student strength was quite low.which might have impacted my overall learning and growth opportunities.
