ANITS: Honest review about being aNITian

The course curriculum is mainly taken from A.U. Even though anits is autonomous its syllabus framing is very bad. I really don't understand why they don't have any programming in the 1st year. I thought the syllabus would be more appropriate to crack gate but I don't think it has really helped in that way. Design and analysis of algorithms should be kept in 2-2 but here it's taught in 3-1. For real world applications the curriculum is not at all suited . The machine learning taught is completely theoritical no practical exposure at all. No machine learning lab. They could have given somewhat better electives . The electives in this college are not at all good and do not help in building projects at all. The timeline of exams is very frequent we also have quiz and class test and 5 marks for attendance which is a hectic thing.

The placements in the college are not so good, to be honest. AWS amazon was the highest package recruiter of this college till last year but this year it didn't visit the college for recruitment on campus. From 3-2, the students are eligible for placements as well as internships. We have to do compulsory summer internship in summer holidays at end of 3-2. The high package companies visiting this campus are Factset -10.8 LPA, Tejas networks -10 LPA (c,c++), Inncircles-10LPA offers 2 roles developer of 10 LPA and tester role of 6.5LPA, JMan 5.16 LPA, Akrivia developer role 10LPA, Infosys SP role 9.5 LPA these r the product companies or high paying companies. Many service based companies also come like accenture and infosys who hire in bulk. Infosys hired 231 members which is a whopping count. The highst package is 10.8 LPA by factset. Almost 50% students r placed. If u have plans to crack gate or higher education palns in foreign then the college has really good network with consultancies and faculty also will give u letter of appericiation and all easily. The faculty is supportive in all these matters.

Every year we will be charged 54500 rs for tution fees. 24300 rs for building fund which includes all exam fees library fees lab fees and all. In the final year we have to pay additional 1000rs for transcripts and TC. We also have to pay 2000 rs for special training and placement as fee.

Only one fest is conducted once a year. The college life is gonna be boring. The fest also consists of techincal fest for 1 day and cultural fest another day that's it. However we have NSS club which is acive and conducts some social service activities. We also have the gdsc club, GFG club, IEEE student branch, ACM chapter which really function well are active and conduct good competitions. We also have CSI body branch. If u r a good sports person u can expect support from the faculty. The department will send u to inter college competitions.

In eamcet after getting the rank I opted for A.U CSE , GVP CSE , and then anits cse. I got seat in anits cse. Even after second round of counselling I was given the same college. So I was not left with any other choice I had to take anits cse. During the year of my admission placements were really good in this college. Now the situation has changed Lendi , vignan are performing better in terms of placement when compared with anits. To enter into anits you should have qualified ap eapcet then u can choose cse, csm, csd , ece , eee , mechanica , IT , civil , chemical branches to pursue engineering . You should have 60% in M.P.C in core subjects (group) . U can also pay donation fee of something around 5 lakh rupees also called management quota. We also have category b in eamcet which requires to pay 3 times fees of category a students. Category A fees - 79000 Category B fees-237000 per year category C fees-8 lakh(cse) (only once) +79000 each year

The faculty to student ratio is 1:26 in Anits. If the student tries to reach the faculty even outside the classroom they are always available and ready to help. The college has active IEEE branch which holds regular events and hackathons . The best faculty in the college is B.mahesh he teaches Data structures really well. D.Anusha mam is another good faculty who is really good at DBMS. All the other faculty are not so effective. There are 2 mids in each semester and one Semester exam which is the final exam. We have internal and external for each lab. Genrally internal is conducted before mid 2 and external after semester so u can prepare really well. If u fail any subject then special remedial classes will be conducted in the next semester to make sure u pass the subject.

There is a gym in college which is sort of ok. We also have main library in the civil block and each department has its own libraries. We also have parking area which is common for students as well as faculty. The college canteen is not at all good. It is priced too high. Nearby we have bheemili beach and divis park to visit if u wanna pass some time.
