My college life

As i got more marks in computer in my HSC i tried to join for some computer related field but I'm not every much interested in engineering and at the same time i dont want to choose b.sc in computer as most of my friends chose that i wanted to try something different so i searched for other options i got this thing and i get to learn what are the things will be included in bca courses and some of the papers are matched with engineering course. And i tried to search for colleges and i applied in queen marys i got to know for bca course in this college is tough to get but i got it.

There are many placements that happens here i got to attend are from TCS, Sutherland and i applied and tried in that and i got placed in both of the companies. The package that TCS offer is 3LPA and Sutherland offer is 3.5lpa. The percentage of placed is like 50 - 50. As in my batch most of my classmates are doing there higher studies. And my plan is get in the company first which will provide the first joining letter.

So first of all as queen marys is the government college's so approximately we have to have 1500 to 2000 per year for the admissions after the admission we don't need to pay any other fee. We only need to pay for semester exam fees which would be 500 to 800 per semesters and also need to pay for laboratory fee(if applicable). Also the college will provide scholarship amount of 1180 per year for general caste and 1800 to 2000 for special caste. This scholarship will be named as the caste name like MBC/BC scholarship. Also there is special scholarship for the special category student which will be credited 1000 every month to their debit card. This scholarship follows some special rules like that category student must have been studied in government schools from 1st to 12th. And the fees of my other batchmates is also the same as mine.

We do have many clubs like rottery club, reading club, listening club. And about the Infrastructure it is pretty good but sometimes because of rain their will stagnant water. We do have library here were can able to access computes and free wifi. And yearly once there will be sports day in which every student must have to participate.

The main reason i chose this college is for the course as it is very difficult to get this course in this college. And i also got in many colleges like ethiraj, mgr janaki. As i applied for most of the colleges for this course i got in every colleges but i gave my first preference to queen marys college. And about the admission i only got in this college because of the mark i scored. To get in this college the person should get the cut off of 330 above out of 400

As almost every faculty in my department are every helpfull in may ways as the way their teach and explains the topics. My favourite is bhuvaneshwari mam she helps us in many way. The exam for bca is different from comparing to other we have overall of 42 papers overall and per semester as 7 papers and in that 7, 6 will be theory and other one will be practical.

I dont usually go there at night as I'm morning shift students. But i do have friends from afternoon batch there used to roam till 8pm as it is safe and about the hostel it is good to stay and its completely safe. My morning shift Timing is 8.30 to 1.15 and for afternoon shift Timing is 1.30 to 6.15.
