The faculty in our college are highly educated and experienced with degree in bds and mds in their specific fields
The college has very good infrastructure which was recently renewed

The yearly fees are quite expensive for a student
The college does not supply basic dental equipments
The patient flow is less compared to other colleges so it can be tough to complete our quota

Course Curriculum Overview

College comes under the rajiv gandhi university of health and sciences which is a very well known university and is highly competitive. The high quotas and theory portions is what makes you struggle and improve in your clinical works.

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for each year is 350000 and the college fees is 90000 which brings about 15lakh for all 4 years. Different quotas the fees can range from 1 lakh to 2 lakh per year. For merit students the fees is around 90 thousand per year

Campus Life

My campus experience is good as our college does not only focus on studies but the extra curricular activities too which is a very important aspect for a student in college. Our library is open till 9 pm on weekdays

Admission

There are many dental colleges in mangalore hence I had researched them all before joining. My first option was AJ institute as it had a great campus environment and was placed in the heart of the city.

Faculty

The faculty in our college are strict but helpful and approachable. There are three internal exams per year and finals soon after the third internal exam. you need to be self dependent and motivate yourself to stick in this college as the faculty can be harsh sometimes and you will need to take help from you seniors.

Night Life

The gym and libary is open till 10pm which is very suitable for students . The hostel timings change according to the year you're in. The overall night life in college is very safe and accessible for all students

The course curriculum is very well designed the university, they first teach the bacis in the first year , and in the second year they prepare us for the clinicals ( pre Clinical work ) , and in the third year we get exposure to patients in all the nine departments, and in final year more of the exposure is given.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is on par with other colleges n the college is constantly trying to improve it which is a gr8 thing!! But one thing which would do wonders is bringing latest dental tech into the curriculum which rarely 1-2 colleges do in India n I would love for our college to bring in this change!! Some dental materials r so old n not used anymore , but still they r in curriculum so...they can even change that!!

Our curriculum will not completely help for further degree or masters there is lot more to be known after that mostly some are only theory topics which are not practical done or practices on world. There should be better cleansing method .
