I chose this college because I'm a resident of Delhi and within Delhi, VIPS is well-known for its law department. It was also a great option for me since it's located in a hubbub area with great connectivity, aside from the campus being close to my home. I wished to apply to NLUD initially but unfortunately, my AILET rank was not enough for me to get admitted there. The admittion process of VIPS is pretty centralized as it's a part of the IPU. We are supposed to apply from IPU's official website and make preference lists, once the counselling for admissions begin. After that, people are allotted colleges on the basis of their ranks and marks. There is state quota for Delhi residents as well. For my course, that is B.A L.L.B, one's CLAT rank is required for admissions. Once the online counselling ends, people shift to offline counselling and visit their campus for document verification. After everything is properly verified, a student is said to be enrolled. For the other courses, IPU has its own entrance tests. I applied for DELHI UNIVERSITY and various NLUS along with NLU DELHI and NLU BANGALORE . But I was not able to get into them as my score was average. Although IP UNIVERSITY is a very prestigious university and my college VIVEKANANDA INSTITUTE OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES is the second best college in IPU for law and legal studies . There is an online counselling conducted by the GGSIP University. Through this counselling, a student can apply for a total of 11 colleges for MCA including the GGSIPU. I applied for 5 colleges but selected this college because it was closer form my home. Also, the placement rate is decent in VIPS....Read More
