4

The course curriculum is best for making us a better doctor. Some best thing about the curriculum is , it includes family adoption program from 1st year under community medicine, then there is early clinical exposures, seminars, etc. Exams are held every month of each subject as PCT.

Campus Life

4

Campus here is good enough. It is well maintained. It includes many outdoor sports ground like cricket ground, football ground, basketball , volleyball, tennis court, etc. Talking about classrooms then each classroom has projector, well maintained chairs, centralized AC. Also there is a central library in the college. In campus, there are many cafeterias offering quality food.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel faculties are far good. Rent is only 15 rupees per month For 1st and 2nd year it is double occupancy, while for 3rd and 4th year it is single occupancy. During admission and counseling process you will alloted with hostels.

Admission

Admission to any AIIMS is through NEET exam. To get into any college you have to score more than the cutoff score of that college. I chose AIIMS Gorakhpur primarily beacuse it is present in my hometown, so there is no language barrier and cultural differences. I wanted to take admission in AIIMS Nagpur though, but as I said earlier it needs higher score to get into better colleges.

Faculty

4

The faculties are highly educated with quite best teaching methods. One thing is real and that is the Academics at AIIMS Gorakhpur is so strict. Every month there will be PCT. Less holidays more classes. 75% Attendance is must , no excuse. 50% score in exam is must to pass. To like a faculty is based on individuals perspective. Some faculties just read out the ppt. So you may not like their teaching methods. But they will stand always for students.

Night Life

4

We got hostels inside the campus. Campus has many cafeterias, pedestrian walkway and beautiful gardens. Hostel timings differ for yearly wise students, ex. For 1st and 2nd year - hostel closes at 11pm For 3rd and 4th - hostel closes at 2am or not fixed This timings can be extended only if you have valid reasons

The curriculum prepares us for the real time management of the patient illness. If we talk about the difficulty of the curriculum, so yes it is difficult but just it needs consistency and nothing. It prepares us for dealing with the real world by understanding the patients.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The profession I'm in is medical. The toughest of all. As from the starting I wished to be a doctor. The one who is second to a God. The one who is respected the most. The one who does the most prestigious job. As per the curriculum we have to study all 19 subjects in just 4.5 years plus we have to attend the clinical posting in hospital , which exposes us to real world. The posting time is the time given to students from second year till year last. Improvement can be done in passing the exam part which is 50% in each subject. It can be 40 % marks. Currently I've given my MBBS second year which was hectic because of the vast syllabus. We have total of 5.5 year course for an undergraduate degree. Out of which 4.5 years is about studies rest one year is internship in hospital. We have to study all 19 subjects in just 4.5 years. The mbbs course is very lengthy. Each and every subject is very vast. So we have to study maximum time. So all the very best those who aspire to be a great doctor
