Chitkara school of hospitality (IHM)

My family wanted me to do this, other wise hospitality has scope all over the world. Business as well as jobs. The course grooms you into a better person Hygiene wise. Practically you can survive alone after doin the course. Improvement can be made with more of practical instead of theory It is 50-50 now i would like it to be 80-20 Exams happened at perfect time

Internship are available in 3rd semester. Many big brands like i told you earlier come and interview. In internship you need to go to all 4 departments like kitchen, f&b, housekeeping and front office. Which are different departments of a 5 star hotel.

After 4th semester students are eligible for jobs. There were all big brands coming like marriot, hyatt, mcdonald, kfc burger king , wildflower all from the world even multinational companies too. Around 90% of students get placement. My plan was to do business

Total fees paid was approx 3,50,000 Each year it was around 1,15,000 Tuition fees covered 80% of the fees. Registration fees 6% , examination fees 4% Lab fees 3% and other miscellaneous 7% There is no scholarship available with the course. Fees with inflation was increasing at 10% per annum. Mainly the tuition fees was increasing. There are were programs for managers trainee instead of scholarships

There were around 6-7 festivals in a year. There were library in every block and a main library for everyone. Everybook was there like every you name it its there. Sports were given good importance on campus. Clubs were made for acting, dance, singing making it a thing for future

I didn't applied for any other college. I basically wanted to go here. As i have already mentioned the things i like. My brother and sister were already in the university. I had given an exam to enter this field after exam according to my results i had lot of options as my rank was in top 10% in India but i didn't applied and went straight to it

The faculty to student ration was 20 students to 1 faculty . There were 2-3 teachers for every subject . Every faculty was good in nature. Very helpful. They are always ready to help you no matter what. I like anjali maam . She was very helpful as shey understand the problem of students. I like every facility there was hate for none. Every semester had 2 exams .one mid and other final Both carried 30% 70% ratio respectively. They were quite easy as compared but still 3-4 out of 100 students flanked.

Everything was opened till 11 in the night. Square was the canteed name which has every brand and local food as well. Gym was there which was opened till 9 in night Day scholar were not allowed to access hostel as it breach privacy as well as security
