- The campus is a bit too small comparing to other campuses
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum consists of core subjects majorly such as programming language, data science and machine learning along with lab session. The only thing is that having language paper for 4 semester seems not too necessary for our course and instead we could have another core paper to gain knowledge on the field
Internships Opportunities
The faculty will recommend us to some internship through their contacts and sometimes through college, such as tcs, accenture etc... who are conducting internship camps for 2nd and 3rd year students and we also have many opportunities to do research paper and publish them in international conference and doing project and showcasing them to professional through workshop .
Placement Experience
The degree certificate is just an entry ticket for the interview in campus placements we can only crack them if we have experience in the field of work by attending internships and participating in projects and completing additional courses.if i didn't get placements in college then I'll be proceeding with searching jobs for the field of my liking with my past experiences during my internship period
Fees and Financial Aid
Basically it's first come first serve to get a seat. Here the course fee for 3 years will be around 2.7 lakhs and along with the exam fees it will be rounded off to 3 lakh, no internal scholarships are provided . They might recommend some external scholarship schemes to apply for .
Campus Life
For me the campus life is good we get so many opportunities to showcase our talents and sharpen our skills as we got to near 12 to 15 forums to join and develop ourselves the infrastructure is not that much to say off as it is just a 6 acre campus with a 2 floor accommodation for arts and science.
Admission
I have applied for gurunank and dg vaishnav college and got selected in gurunanak but in dgv i got rejected due to the cut off marks didn't meet the requirements , but still I opted for SRM vdp in search of new opportunities and career building factors
Faculty
The faculty of my department ( computer science) are really friendly to the students. All the faculty members are well qualified and and have their own style of teaching to make the subjects more interesting for the students. There will 2 cycle test and a mofel examination before we get to our semester examination the marking will be 50 marks for internals and 25 for practicals and the remaining will be calculated with the semester examination marks.
Night Life
Vadapalani is a hotspot area in Chennai as we got forum mall, theatres, hotels,pg for men and women, saloon etc ... And it is a nic environment around the area of we just ignore the traffic which is a hectic thing to deal for the students who are reaching the college by own tranports
Other Applied Colleges
DG Vaishnav College - [DDGDVC] | Bachelor of Computer Applications [BCA]
