What Students Say

Likes

the faculty is too friendly and they are always there to help students anytime anywhere
the college is situated in city outskirts but even if we need anything urgently everything is available nearby
the campus is small but even though it is always clean and green

Dislikes

there are no fests or parties orginsed by the university
the college life seems to be boaring without any fests but with right friends you can create a lot of memories
the timing of classes is so bad.. students are not able to have a proper schedule in their lives

Course Curriculum Overview

yeah the course cirriculam is very well designedd... It helps the student to make a proper study time table according to the cirriculam.... also the timings of the exam is good...we can not feel over stressed or anything regarding exam timings

Internships Opportunities

there comes various companies in the second year itself with paid internships as well as normal internshipp... the highest paid internship is given by amazon that is 75k per monthh... if we maintain a proper resume and best skills one can crack the internship easily

Placement Experience

the placement scenario is very good in my college...even the students from other top universities of bhubhaneswar come to soa to grab placements....the highest package is 46lpa and average is 5.75lpa... am planning to secure a decent amount of package and graduate proudly

Fees and Financial Aid

so the total fee for btech cse course is 275000per annum and it varies from branch to branch.....A scholarship of 35k per annum is provided for the students who secure more than 80 percentage in their respective 10 and 12 grades... and have to maintain minimum of 8cgpa to be elgible for scholarship in the upcoming years

Campus Life

there are various types of clubs in my university... various sports events are also organised anually in whichh badminton, tennis, basketball, cricket, athletics everything is involved...there is club named jaago which motive is to educate poor people and help them to achieve something big like others

Hostel Facilities

everyday cleaning happens in every room of the hostel....the keep the hostel very neat and clean...the menu varies every week...the quality of the food is very good...also girls are very secured inside the campus and girls hostel

Hostel Fee: INR 95000 per year

Admission

yeah i applied for vit,kl university etcc..I choose this college over others because the placement scenario is good here and also we can have different career option furthermore if we utilize our graduation phase...so to get into soa university we can go through jee percentile or saat examination

Faculty

the faculty is very good and they are always ready to help their students in every possible way they can....SO THERE ARE TOTAL 8 SEMSters for 4 years... each year has 2 semesters... a semster consists of one mids exam and one ends exam

Night Life

there is an eco gym in the campus itself boys and girls both are allowed acording to the timings....there is 5 floors cafeteria in the campus ....library is so hugs each type of book will be available there...there is a huge safety for the girls living in hostel..but the girls hostel main gate closes at 7:30 pm sharp

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the third year itself. In this placement season more than 90 percent of the eligible students got placed in several companies. The highest and average are yet not known. Several companies visited the campus with prominent ones being Microsoft, Dell, Xerox, Flipkart and more including several startups. After getting a degree if I am able to land a job the ok otherwise I will start my preparation for the defence sector or civil services.

So talking about placements then the placement trainings get started from your 5th sem onwards and you will be trained upon diff params and from 7th sem onwards campus drives gets started and around 30 companies visits each year and all the mncs comes for campus drives starting from pwc , Deloitte , accenture to tcs , infosys and ibm . Placements are definitely there for coaching centres in my branch. Many big and reputed coaching institutions like akash, byjus etc came for recruitment. More R & D comapnis can be included. the nterview process and the packages were decent for the role offered.

I had also applied for Chandigarh University in Mohali for a BE degreen in CSE(AI and ML). I got admission there based on their online test CUCET. But I had to choose my college over CU because upon going there i realised that the university was far from the main city and also the environment inside the college is more shifted towards fun and parties which didn't align with my personal life. I had also given IMU examination and secured an AIR 307 but because of i was underweight i couldn't make it. My first impression of the college I chose

I applied in vit chennai , lpu , kiit , and vit bhopal . I got confirmed admission from all the colleges but i chose this college as it was in my hometown and the rating and education background of the college was impressible.
