Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is of a span on 4 and half years . This includes four years of academic teachings and almost a span of six to eight months of internship program . The curriculum includes of practical classes which makes us ready to deal with the real time life incidents. The internal exams are conducted for every 2 months and yearly once the external exams are conducted.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship is available in the college at the end of the four year academic course. After the completion of the academic course you will enter into an internship which is of a span around six to eight months. Yearly projects will be given for every batch of students. You can choose the internship place as you wish on free will within the places listed in the official website of the government.

Placement Experience

3

The college in which I study is a government college and there won't be anything like "placements" in a veterinary College. The jobs you could get depends on the posts released by the government every year. And you could only get placed in a government job when you get a good GPA, the overall GPA of you in the whole course of four and half years will decide whether you get a government job or not. Keeping a private clinic is more beneficial and profitable as a private clinic could make you earn upto 50k whereas the government job will give you a monthly salary of 30k but more beneficial than private clinic with all the merits.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per year the college fee would round up almost 47000 and this includes only tution fee , library, sports and extra curricular fees only. The hostel charges and monthly mess bill are not included in this. Scholarship is applicable for native students of the state based on attendance, this scholarship is only for the students of backward classes and economically low class students. National level students can get a scholarship based on their yearly GPA and almost of 25000 rupees can be earned through scholarship for national level students.

Campus Life

4

No clubs are encouraged within the college , the student portals are included in the official website of the college. Every year there will be a college day celebrated and also a freshers day for welcoming the freshers to the college. Extracurricular programmes like inter college sports meet and inter University sports meets are conducted. Inter college and inter University culturals also held every year.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel is in very good condition. The room can accommodate for 3 people at a time and also rooms are in nice condition, not the best but are in good condition. The washrooms are common used ones and there is no seperate washroom for every room. The mess food menu is comprised of variety of items for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday but once you get used to the menu you will definetely get bored . And the mess charges are around 100 rupees per day which doesn't include the extra 50 rupees for non vegetarian students.

Admission

The thing is that I didn't choose this college. I have been selected through a process of councelling conducted by the government of Andhra Pradesh. There will be an exam conducted called as AP EAPCET through which we can enter this councelling. The process of councelling depends on the rank you get in the conducted exam. The higher marks you get the higher the chance for you to choose the college from the listed colleges in the councelling. The national students can be selected through a process of councelling conducted by VCA ( Veterinary Council of India) which is based on the marks you get in NEET exam.

Faculty

5

The faculty is very experienced and lot more friendly , they are so enthusiastic and supportive towards teaching us something new. The exam schemes are simple , the internal exams are conducted in three phases and there will be a final external examinations held. The theory and practical exams are seperately conducted on different dates. The internals won't be comprised with practicals. Practicals are only for externals. The internal exams are for 40 marks whole and the final exams are for 100 marks. The students and faculty are in the ratio of 25:1. The exams are not so easy to pass out and every year there will be almost a couple of students who fail and prepare for complimentary examinations . The most important and my favourite faculty is the anatomy department and pathology department faculty which are so tough yet very interesting.

Night Life

3

The college consists of gym in the respective hostels of boys and girls . The library is comprised of almost 3000 books related to our course and also to many general knowledge books. The canteen of the college is very poor in infrastructure and the food we get are not wife range, only drinks a biscuits are available there. The college is situated in the middle of fields in a range of area almost a kilometer. So the whole college is surrounded by fields on every side and the night life is pretty dangerous with all the rodents and serpents moving around the college at night.
