Course Curriculum Overview

2

I have choosen this course because of future prospects but university doesn't provide any future prospects after letting us pay huge sum, after completing very tiring exams and completed all courses, when we look back it's like there is not much future prospects.

Placement Experience

2

Students of 8th semester are eligible for campus placements, as far as I know only two companies visited for campus placement for my course, all the campus placements are for btech students, there is no scope for life sciences. In that two companies one company only choosen one person, other company package was very low and work hours are a way exhausting like 8 hours of standing, I plan to complete my masters after this course.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every year I paid 100000rupees tution fees and almost 75000 to 80000 hostel fees plus 20000 miscellaneous and exam fees. Government scholarship scheme are available but only for odhisa state residents.

Campus Life

3

The festival held is GajaJyothi , the access of books in library is good but it's very limited for my course, facilities and technological provisions are good , sports and extracurricular activities are well encouraged and there many clubs established, they impact us in very good way.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel facility is not good, they provide very small room for 4 to 5 members sharing, space is very limited, and common washrooms are worst. Meal quality is not good, hostel is affordable, pg's are not available around campus as it's situated in small village. Renting room outside is not safe for girls because of that area.

Admission

Fisheries science colleges are very rare, after my application in my state got rejected, I choosen this college, addmission process is not big just we have to pay 10000 and fill the application form, university also offers entrance exam for addmission, we can also get it through icar rank card, but every process it's same.

Faculty

4

Facilities are very good, I learned so many things from my professor, exams are very difficult to crack, cause it's tiring to complete 10 to 12 courses per semester, it's like attending 10 theory exam, 10 practical, 10 viva plus 10 practical records, it's very tiring.

Night Life

2

Hostel are closed at every evening 7, 7 to 8 is study hour time, we can use library or we can participate in any club activities till 9' o clock. Inside campus there is tribal village and so many life sciences units, locality moderately safe.

Placement Experience:

After the 8th semester, we become eligible for campus selection. Some feed companies come to choose their employees and few private banks also come occasionally. I don't know the packages. 1% of students get placement. My plan is for pg after degree. But that is too uncertain because there is no such job option. The government post is vacant but we can't get recruitment every year

The college is so much strict, which gives so many problems to some students as they need some demanded facilities for their personal reasons. The food quality is not good and there is no suitable place to do practical for mainly agricultural purpose and researches.
