An overview of Mangalayatan University

The university provides regular labs with lab assistants and teachers to guide the Students. Classes are held 5 days a week accordingly as per the time table. Sometimes classes are held 6 days a week to cover up the syllabus. The curriculum will help you to gain knowledge about your subjects and you can issue books from the library as suggested by the teachers for each unit. Smart classes are also provided and well maintained computer labs with AC's fitted. The difficulty level of exams are generally moderate according to my perspective and enough time is provided to write your exam. Some of the teachers are quite experienced but they teach students according to their own knowledge. I would rather suggest them to teach according to the understanding of the students. Not every student is on the same level.

Internship opportunities are provided from 3rd year both on or off campus. There is a separate Training and Placement cell that organises recruitment drives. They provide frequent industrial visits to aware the students with the industrial environment. It offers students various job opportunities according to their skills and relevance. They provide summer internships for the students which is mandatory for every student. The T&P cell provides constant training on soft and core skills of the students. A variety of companies visit the University with different packages to be offered according to the skills and qualifications of the students. The University gives projects to the students in the final year for a strong resume to get a better job and to prove their efficiency and knowledge. The companies like Google, Neclife, Vodafone, BYJU'S visit the University for internships and placements.

Right now, the university claims70%-80% placements. The companies are invited and students are selected for interviews based on their eligibility as per criteria set by the companies. There is a separate Training and Placement cell for organizing recruitment drives. The university provides both in and out campus placements. A number of companies like Neclife, ICICI Bank, INNOVA, BYJU'S, Google, Vodafone, Indorient, Septalyst, Inox, etc. visit the University for placements. The average package for btech students having appropriate skills is around 5-6 lakhs per annum. The highest package offered for a BTech at Mangalayatan University was over 10LPA in 2023. From the starting of 4th year you become eligible for placements. After completion of my course I will take a job for experience then I will go on pursuing higher degree for better opportunities. I can't just rely on the university to get me a job. I am trying to upgrade my skills for better jobs options.

The fee structure for Btech C.S.E is as follows: INR 1,20,000 per annum (1,00,000 is the tution fees and 20,000 other charges). Rs. 6000 is the exam fees per year. Admission application fee is 500. It provides 100% scholarship for jain community and SC/ST students. Caution deposit is Rs. 5000 (one time paid and refundable). It also provides scholarship for both boys and girls based on their 12th merit. For 100% scholarship, a boy has to score 95% or above in his 12th and a girl has to score 90% or above in her 12th. The scholarship will be cancelled in cases if your back comes due to your short attendance or less than passing marks in your exams or practicals.

The campus of Mangalayatan University has an eco-friendly environment that provides ample fresh air. There are large fields of grass where students can enjoy sitting and gossiping in their free time or break. It has a Jain temple at the centre of the campus and also a Durga temple for the hostlers and day scholars to start their day with worshipping that enhances the positive energy and equips you with right mindset to pursue knowledge. University provides different clubs like Music and Dramatics club to encourage cultural activities and sports club to involve students in different sport activities according to their interests. Events and guests lectures are held in the auditorium for different departments. The University has a Central library and separate libraries in different departments. There is a fish pond at one end of the University. It also has a cafeteria and a canteen, a stationary shop for the students. The University also supports agriculture and grows a variety of crops and plants with a number of gardeners to take care of the greenery and proper watering of the plants. The classrooms are well ventilated and some of the classes have AC's fitted in them. There is a group of Jain students who are hostlers who conduct functions for the hostlers. The University also offers smart classes. The University conducts fresher party for freshers for every department separately. Overall the University provides various experiences. One drawback of the University is that it's campus is at the wrong place where there is no nearby market except iglas. Almost every place is far and at the same distance from the University. So, a disadvantage for the hostlers.

I completed my 12th this year with 96.2% in cbse. I appeared in the JEE mains exam and got an average percentile but I left its counseling because I wasn't getting the course that I was expecting and colleges were far away from my hometown. I was searching for colleges near my hometown and my father contacted a few of them. One of them was Mangalayatan University. I got to know about this university from one of my relative. My father contacted the admission cell and we visited the university. I chose this university for a lot of reasons and a few of them are- I got 100% scholarship for 4 years based on my 12th merit. This university provides good opportunities with an advantage of being close to my hometown. Transport facilities are available so no delaying in arriving there and additionally no need of taking a hostel. I also contacted to some other colleges like JAYPEE Anoopshahr and GL Bajaj mathura. I got the admission letter from JAYPEE Anoopshahr but i rejected it. The reason why I rejected it was that it was far away from my house and transportation won't be possible. Also, they were not providing better scholarship. Why I chose Mangalayatan University can be clear now. The eligibility to take admission in Btech C.S.E course is- 50% marks in 10+2 PCM/PCSM. To take admission I went in the admission cell, submitted my complete documents and fees of the first semester there including the security deposit.

The faculty in this university is quite good. I won't say that they are the best. But they provide you the knowledge and try to interact with you in their best possible way. They encourage you to learn and try to create an environment where children can focus. They also provide mentorship to the students. Exams are conducted accordingly ( two minor exams and minor practicals, a major exam and major practical). Assignments are also given to the students.The exam paper given to the students can be of the university or prepared from someone out of the university. The teachers will prepare you well for your examinations and try their best to cover up the whole syllabus before your exams. If due to some reason the syllabus remains pending in any of your subject then the teacher will tell you the important topics to help you prepare well on your own for the exams. During the exam, two or three invigilators will be present in the class to keep an eye on the students.

As for the hostlers, they are allowed to go out in the campus. They can go to the temple that is covered with lights at night. Library is available till 8 p.m. for the students. Functions are held at night for the hostlers to celebrate such as for janmashtami and DJ night etc. Gym facility is available for both boys and girls. Hostlers have to give daily attendance and take entry before 9 p.m. at night. There is a hotel in front of the University. There is no such famous hangout places near the campus. The University is situated near a village town Beswan where mostly students take PG or go to roam around a bit. In the campus you can sit around the cricket ground. You can play basketball or badminton in evening time. You can enjoy with other hostlers playing dumbsharas.
