Course Curriculum Overview

4

Commerce is a field that is like a door to many opportunities. I personally is good at maths and chose commerce. It really has a good scope everywhere. Commerce teachers are really good, they'll provide you with variety of opportunities to excel in and outside the college.

Internships Opportunities

4

There's only one internship offered from the college, we'll have to search for internships outside. Other than that, college refers us the details of many internships that are offered outside. Internships are made mandatory under NEP for minimum of 1 month

Placement Experience

2

Placements are not that good to be honest, but you'll get various opportunities in the college to get placed, but you need to have skills to ace that opportunity. Currently, there's a programme going on where a company is giving training to the students to help them getting placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for 1st year was 40,000. 2nd year it was like 46,000. 3rd year it was 52,000. You can apply for SSP and NSP scholarships. In SSP, the amount varies from person to person. In NSP, you'll get 12,000 p.a. if your 12th percentage is above 90%.

Campus Life

4

Talking about Extracurricular activities, it's really top-notch. Even for sports, you'll get various good opportunities. There are various clubs run in the college. Even, there's a fashion team in the college, where they have represented our college in various colleges.

Admission

I didn't apply to any college except MES. I saw many college's but I liked the environment and infrastructure of this college, which is built in a old style and is established in 1956. All my relatives said not to leave this college since getting into this college itself is lucky as it was difficult in earlier times to get a seat in this college. Admission process is simple only, entrance exams are not conducted, just you need to submit some applications they ask for and cut off matters, it's like divided into aided and unaided sections. If you have more than 85% in your pic, you'll get aided section, where fees is comparatively less than unaided section. For unaided section , you'll have to have more than 70%.

Faculty

4

To be honest, some teachers teach well and some don't. They conduct internals only once before sem exams. Evaluation is done liberally only. One good thing I liked is they won't pressurize us at all for submitting assignments, they'll give us enough time.

Interview Experience

4

No, there was nothing like group discussion, interview or written test. You just need to submit an application, they'll give you an application form, you need to fill that and submit. If you get selected based on your percentage, they'll call you and you just need to submit some documents, that's it.

Night Life

2

There is a food street very near to the college like the famous bangarpete chats, gowdru egg rice, Sai Ram chats, etc. There's also a gym in the underground of the college. But, Cafeteria is not that good.

The placement cell in my college is okay they do get few good companies for campus recruitment and they guide us thoroughly how and when we should apply for placement they do conduct some sessions and bring people to guide us with everything. The percentage of students getting placement is 50 or 60 percentage. My plan after degree is to continue pursuing acca and then finding a job abroad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
