College of freedom

The curriculum is based on the old building construction.there are real world problems also solved but the problems are old so it is not use full to solve. The improvement in the modern things.it will helping others.and the teaching method is good but need some improvement needed in closing to the students.the frequency of examination is 4 months of study 2 months of exams .it is very easy to clear all the exams

The placements is available at GCE campus.there are only final year students are eligible for placements.there are so many companies visited .this year till now 22 members placed .the top companies are L&t,Petrol ,Total environment, URC,CCCL,shoba construction.the highest package is Shoba construction in Dubai is 13.2 lpa and the avg package is 4 lpa.the placement intrested students in previous year is 54 and no .of students placed is 45.my plan after getting degree is secured with one private job and prepare for the government exams.

First year should pay the annual fees of 14000 (Tution fees 2000 Store fees 5000 Other fees 7000) First graduates and sc students pay only 12000 for first year Rest of the years we can pay the fees of 12000 And also pay the exam fees in each semester of 300 per paper. The scholarships opportunity is given by the college.many private and government scholarships available.(Sc st mbc scholarships and ambani scholarships and mrf ,etc)

There are 8 festivals in our campus.1. manvaasanai (tamil pongal celebration) 2.Experia (organised by english literature association) 3.Vibgyor ( organised by arts club GCE) 4.vidiyal (organised by tamil literature association) Department functions of eca department 5.zenith 6.blosssoms. 7.gecofest 8.ntra college fest in deps The accessibility of book in library is very easy if you have the library card. The class rooms are old.so there are only projectors. The sports is very good in our college. There are etrics club for blood donation and rotract for service other people.

I am applying the colleges in salem ( sona college , knowledge college)but my first preference is GCE salem.i didn't reject any colleges .it is the government college fees low ,and independent for Students then only I can choose this college. The admission process is nothing the government counselling by tnea. There is based on 12 th score.approx .above 70 percent we got the seat from the college.

There are total students in each mech and civil is 120 and other 4 department ece eee metallurgy and cse is 60.the staff ratio is based on the subjects .the faculties are very tough to handle. because they need the own interest of students. vivekananthan in English department.i liked him because he is friendly with all the students.we have the exams in 4months. each semester approx.8 papers.( 6 theory+2labs).there are students ofapprox. 20 percentage fails in there exams.the coarse curriculum is based on anna University.

There are no cafe in night time and there also no gyms in campus after 6. The girls hostel timing is 6-6 timing and for boys 6-9 timing.there are so many hangout places in collage .in the back side of our college hav the little lake also .and there are small forest also.so there are so many hangout outs.there are slightly fear in the safety.
