Admission
I applied for SGSITS, IET DAVV, UIT RGPV, Jabalpur engg college, along with MITS According to closing ranks of above mentioned colleges, I could get admitted to UIT RGPV or JEC, but on searching about them I got to know that there curriculum is still the same primitive engg curriculum, moreover the classes are also not regular, faculties are least interested in teaching students. But that's not the case with MITS
Faculty
The faculty members of the institution are quite experienced and knowledgeable, they have studied in renowned institutes in India, the faculty to student ratio is not known to me, but in my dept there are 156 students and 12 faculty members, the faculties are helpful and easily approachable. There are in total 3 exams in one semester, Two minor evaluations of 20 marks each per subject, one major evaluation of 30 marks per subject the remaining 30 marks out of 100 are of continuous evaluation of students in labs and some other factors
Night Life
There is no nightlife in campus campus closes around 8 pm hostlers are not allowed out of hostels after 8, girls are not allowed out of their hostels after 6:30 pm. You cannot enter the college as a day scholar after 8 pm to meet you friends. There are many places to hangout with friends like the gwalior fort, jai Vilas palace, baija taal, moti Mahal and more. But it is not advisable to hang out at night with female friends in the locality or the city. You can do it to some extent but it is better if avoided.
