Course Curriculum Overview

3

Faculty used to teach us in a timely manner I don't have problems regarding academic point of view Most of the lecturers are professionals but some of them lack subject knowledge due to which we have to make our own notes and prepare for the exams. After completing my btech the subjects taught in our college offer only a basic understanding of real world applications we should not rely purely on the faculty teaching in college level. The way of teaching should be improved and also the faculty must train students more in a practical approach rather than theory based approach in this way students shine in their academic careers they should find innovative ways to share the subject knowledge to students For a semester on average we get 3 months to prepare which is good in my perspective because it is more than enough to prepare for the exams considering the syllabus

Placement Experience

4

According to me placements are good. Some of the companies visited our campus namely: 1.TCS 2,Tech Mahindra 3.Syntel Also we went to KL university for a campus drive, VR siddhartha for a campus drive After 3 year 2 nd semester students are eligible for campus placements. Prerequisites: 1.Student should not have backlogs until 3rd year 2nd sem 2.Maintain a minimum of 7 SGPA those persons are eligible for these above mentioned companies(2012-2016) In my branch out of 40 only 8 members secured campus placements. Highest package is 3 lpa offered by TCS Avg package is 2.5 lpa offered by Tech Mahindra around 43% students were placed from our campus I learnt programming at Hyderabad for 6 months after my btech

Fees and Financial Aid

First-year -77,000 rs second year -69,000 rs third year - 30,000 rs fourth year -29,000 rs I am OBC category person also I got reservation from the government they paid 35000 yearly as reimbursement of my fee excluding that amount I paid the above mentioned amount my friends payed variable amount because some are management quota so yearly they paid 50,000 rs I received scholarship amount ranging from 2000 to 2500 for four years the building fees I paid around 10k supply fees 200 per subject semester fees- 2000rs admission fees-as mentioned above for four years

Campus Life

3

Not to expect in campus life mostly filled with academics I attended freshers party and farewell party given by juniors except those two occasions I did not experienced any festivals annual celebrations Our library is good with vast amount of technical books and also journals, magazines also equipped with computers having internet . I say there is no much advancement in the classrooms at that time(2012-2016) at present I don't know but there is need for advancements as we r living in 21st century and now-a-days who is still teaching subjects on a classboard huh. Yeah there are sports especially Cricket tournaments, Football, Basketball and other indoor games but the equipment is kind of old and never updated. We have NSS run campaigns students who volunteer for such camps they were given permissions

Admission

Actually, for my Eamcet rank, i didn't get admission into any of the colleges but this college PVP Siddhartha At first, I didn't know about this college but later some of my friends suggested that it was one of the best colleges in Vijayawada at that time. I applied to 1.VR siddhartha engineering college 2.Lakkireddy balireddy engineering college 3.Gudlavaleru engineering college 4.MIC engineering college 5.PVP siddjartha engineering college Unfortuntely I didn't got admission in the top 4 colleges but I got admission in PVP siddhartha engineering college so that is y I choose to join this college.Yes I was rejected in those colleges due to my Eamcet score cutoff which I was not eligible I choose PVP siddhartha because of my branch ECM(electronics and computers engineering) for my eamcet rank I was eligible for this course so I joined backed then. Our college admission is simple Hire the students through Eamcet quota 1.First counselling 2.Second counselling 3.Management quota Majorly they see Eamcet rank and intermediate marks Also there is reservation category due to which a student fits I am OBC category student my rank is above 1 lakh back in 2012 My branch ECM is having cut off ranks from 30,000 to 2lakh above EAMCET ranks that is y I joined this branch firstly it has rich academic placements and secondly I wont get seat in any reputed college other than this for my rank I will get admission in a b grade college so I joined this college without any hesitation and second thoughts

Faculty

3

There is no faculty-to-student ratio, simply one faculty member is allotted to all students. We are a batch of 40 members and the faculty used to teach us and guide us.Majorly they used to teach to the bright ones and neglect the weak ones. Our relationship is okayish. They would clarify our doubts if needed, I liked Prudhvi Sir who used to taught Java, OOPS, Data Structures to us.He was very passionate about teaching and used to help us in every way he can.At that time he used to guide us regarding campus placements.I like him a lot. Also Mahalakshmi madam, Vasudeva rao sir. I don't like Praveen sir he used to teach Design and analysis of algorithms and Software Engineering, his way of teaching is very bad and also don't have subject knowledge always used to crack vulgar jokes and looks at girls in a bad way I don't know how the management gave him the faculty post. For a year there are 2 semesters For a semester there are 6 theory subjects and 3 labs there is internal and external exams For internal comprising 30 marks 9 marks objective, 6 marks assignment and 15 marks theory exam external exam consists of 70 marks pass mark in internal exams is 15/30 pass mark in external exams is 25/70 We are 40 students most of the students used to pass but 10 members used to fail at least one subject per semester but by the final year all of our students passed examinations In the first year we are bit confused regarding academic but by the final year we overcome our fears and passed all subjects I definitely recommended joining this college

Night Life

1

Our college does not encourage late night activities in fact after 7pm Our college gates were closed so you can understand our situation, we used to hang out after college but on college premises never. The management were very strict in this matter. Also our college is small mostly it contains several buildings and there are no hideout spots
