Course Curriculum Overview

5

It was very important for me to do graduation. That is why I chose V.A for graduation and MGKVP college is very famous in my area, that is why I took admission in that college. This college is located in Varanasi, it is a very famous college and along with good facilities, this college also provides good teaching.

Placement Experience

5

Placement facility was also available in our college but there was no placement available for MA and other courses for BA students. Students were given 60 percent leave for placement. And avi I also earn income by working along with teaching

Fees and Financial Aid

My per year fees were 2500 and I did not take tuition, I only studied from college. My registration fees was 1000 and my general total fees were 4000 per year. But there was a discount for SC and ST from the college. There was a scholarship facility in my college, our scholarship was Rs 6000 per year.

Campus Life

5

Annual functions were held in our college and festivals were also celebrated. We used to celebrate the festival together with all the students and teachers. Arrangements for the function in our college on 26 January I am having a very good experience in this college. After studying in this college, I also got a job and I am teaching as well as doing a job. After graduating from this college, it helps me a lot in preparing for teaching

Admission

I have never been rejected by any college. MGKVP is a famous college of Varanasi. I liked this college very much for doing graduation. It takes you 7 days to get admission here. Classes for students were started immediately after admission.

Faculty

The students of our college were very good. Most of the students were from the neighbouring area and some students also came from outside to study. Our college had good facilities, cold water facilities, the washrooms were very clean, there was also parking in our college .The rules of our college were very strict which I did not like. There were exams every year in our college, but some students failed and did not continue in the college, most of the students passed.

Interview Experience

5

There was direct admission in our college, there was no rule of group discussion and interview, interviews were conducted for only those students who wanted to do science courses or any such for graduation.

Night Life

4

Yes, there used to be a cafe just outside our college, all of us students used to go there and have fun and relax, that cafe would also be available, there was no hostel next to our college There was a library in our college too. We all used to go to the library together. In our college, it was also allowed to take books from the library.

Placement Experience:

For campus placements, 6th semester students are eligible. There are various companies which visit our campus for the campus recruitment process some of them are IDFC First Bank, Adda 24x7, Piramal Finance, etc. The highest package offered was 5 lacs and the average package as per company was 350000. 40-50 percentage of the students are getting placements in the college every year. After the BBA Degree, I am planning for the Masters Degree for better placement. |

I'd rate BA Hons English curriculum at BHU 4.5/5. Strengths: comprehensive literature coverage, language skills development, and critical thinking. Weaknesses: limited focus on contemporary literature and digital humanities. Prepares well for academics, writing, and teaching careers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The sociology course teaches me the norms of our society and family we live in. This course will provide a vast knowledge about the society and culture and this made me to choose this course. The time given is enough to complete the course and to understand it . The exams are conducted after every six months so the difficulty level is moderate.

Amity University, Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
Reviewed on Nov 15, 2024(Enrolled 2018)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.
