Course Curriculum Overview
• The course that I chose deals with Artificial intelligence and machine learning. • So the curriculum includes all the related subjects of the course that are applicable in the real world. • As this is a new domain in the engineering sector even lecturers are learning so we cannot expect much. • Frequency of exams are very decent that is those are not to fast or not to slow and coming to difficulty level it depends on how you prepared for the exam.
Internships Opportunities
• Being a CSE student I only know much about these companies such as TCS, accenture, wipro, cognizant.. There are more companies that visit our college but as I am still in my first year I don't much. • every student has to get an internship by the end of 4th semester.
Placement Experience
After the 6th semester students are eligible for the campus placements. A bunch of companies has already visited the college in the year 2024 and around 141 placements are done on the campus. The highest package offered in the 2023 was 32 lakh per annum which was off campus. The highest package in the year 2024 is 6.75 till date it may vary as placements are going on. Average is 5 lakh per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
During your admission in the first year, you have to pay 90000 and from the second year it's 85000 which was set up by new government. If you got seat through EAMCET and if you are eligible for free reabusrment you don't have to pay the fee government will be paying. And finally if you are through management quota have have pay 5Lakh donation for cse and cse specialisations and around 2lakh or 3 lakh for core branches.
Campus Life
As part of completion of 40 years of Pulla Reddy Engineering College alot of fests will be done in the year 2025 and every year Ethnic day will be held in the month of January. Library is full of books and journals related to every course that you have taken and also some self help books , novels even ebooks are provided if the book is not available physically. Every classroom has a projector so that the ppt are presented and the classroom for lecture. Our college is so supportive towards sports and extracurricular activities so game competitions are held in alternate years and college is equipped with gym, indoor stadium and a huge ground. Every branch in their first year have the sports as a part off their curriculum. And students are allowed to take involvement in the clubs from the second year. Alot of clubs are there here in our college which improve your technical skills and also soft skills.
Hostel Facilities
• First of all our hostel serves only vegetarian food. No non veg allowed not even the take out. So for non vegetarians it is bit hard to stay in the hostel but every Sunday we have an outing so at that time we can go out and can have the non veg. There are two kind of rooms one is with attached washroom and another one has a common washroom. The prices vary for both. Depending on having of Air conditioners. The taste of food is decent more kind of home food. When it comes to affordability the price range is moderate I feel everyone can offered common washroom rooms but when comes to attached one some level of people can afford.
Admission
I have applied to a lot of colleges here in Andhra Pradesh through my EAMCET rank, the first college I got through counselling is G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College in CSE(AI/ML) and I chose this college only because it's one of the best colleges in the total AP and also in the Rayalaseema region. Comparing to other colleges that I have applied for this college hass a great history it was opened in 1985 so it has a lot of alumni who are working at big giant companies and different countries. Which is huge. So I did apply for sem amaravati and I couldn't get it because I am an OC candidate who got 10k rank in my EAMCET exam I couldn't clear the cutoff.
Faculty
• Faculty to the student ratio is 1:66 i.e in one classroom a teacher teaches to 66 students. •totally three exams are held in every semester 1) sessional 1 i.e mid exam for first 2 units 2) Sessional 2 for next 3 units 3) Finally the seamster exam NOTE : THERE ARE LAB EXAMS both internal and external • Sessionals, internal labs are evaluated for 30 marks and external is evaluated for 70 marks. •. coming to the course curriculum first year iss same for all branches.
Night Life
• Gym, cafeteria gets closed by 6 pm and library in the 7 pm • campus timings are bit different for every year. • For the girls hostel they have to check in by 7 in the evening. • Famous hangout places are definitely cafeteria and memorial, recently Nescafe.
