Course Curriculum Overview

2

I was always into art. so i decided to persue architecture as it has both art and aesthetices with technology and development. what one learns in college is nothing comapred to what goes in real life. also there is nothing you learn in college. the course should not take 5 years and also they should teach by experience rather than just bookish knowledge. the written exams in arch is easy. the jury is hard as it takes a long time to coplete the project.

Fees and Financial Aid

I dont remember the exact amput of fees but at first year the fees was 1 lakh 30 thousand. after that the rest of the year's fees was 1 lash 15 thousand or something like that. SC people get all their money back while OBC get 50% back. there is also one more type of scholarship where if your father is a bussiness man and the annual income is less than 5 lakh or something then you get almost 50% scholarship. people in my college used to make fake certificates and get advantage of this scheme.

Campus Life

1

there is only 1 festival named the archiventure where i had fun. rest there is not fest and other activities. library is okay but there are a lot of restrictions. there is no facility or technology for students. no sports or extra curricular acitvity.

Admission

I applied to many NIT'S and IIT'S but as my JEE score was only 92 percentile , i was not able to get into them. After that there was corona where the admission was delayed for almost 8-9 months so i have to get whatever college i had left..I got to this college by Cap round but anyone can get into this college as they literally have only 15 new admission this year.

Faculty

1

The faculty is not at all approachable as they only entertain the terachers pets. I only liked the faculty that were in my 1st year. they were nice and learning with them was fun. Most of the faculty is shit. The main exam is the jury other than other written exams. there are many stdents who fail to clear the jury . the course is also very hard and tiring and needs proper guidance. there are many students who dropped out of college as they cannot continue architecture.

Night Life

3

there as a lot of small cafes new college like lopi pizza and hide out etc.. that area has a lot of hostel and pgs fo girls. my college is boring and has no hangout place. Only hangout places are outside the campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exam is twice a semester and good enough. Guest lectures are good and helpful for the future preparation. There must be a change in teaching styles of the faculty and more site based experiments through the course for better understanding than only in class studies , the beauty of historical buldings made me wonder about this course

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the architectural course because I love designing buildings. The teachers were good, and there weren't too many students in each class. They knew a lot about architecture and taught us in different ways, like drawing and going to see real buildings. The exams were fair and not too hard, but you had to study. Overall, I liked the course and learned a lot about architecture.

Placement Experience:

There is no campus placement for architecture students. After completion of the degree, one can apply for jobs or opt for masters. Architects get an average starting salary of 20-25 thousand. The course is pretty expensive including college fees and printing prices. One can also open a private firm and earn enough money. There are very few open students getting placed. My plans after getting a degree are to apply for masters. For a teaching job, one must complete masters.
