Experience of JECRC University

Pros:- Course is good and is updated timely. The Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) which is compulsory for 1st year students is very profitable for all students. Cons:- The Classes are conducted from Monday to Saturday for which in my opinion there should be no classes for Saturday. And my decision of choosing this university was because of decent placements and it's close to my home

Internship opportunities are very good in the college, provided with seperate Internship Cell. Some of the companies visited for Interns in 2023 are Amazon, Cisco, Wipro etc Many students got internship in ISRO and DRDO too

Placement is decent in the college. Average package is 6.9 LPA (recent batch). Highest package 33 LPA given by Amazon India to 4 students. In 3rd year we can sit in Internships, there's a seperate Internship Cell provided

The fees is 2,20,000 for 2 semesters and Hostel fees is 1,60,000 per year also 15-20% scholarship available and that:- If you scored 75-85% in 12th you'll be eligible for 15% discount on tution fee. And if you scored 85 or above then you'll get 20% discount on the tution fee. (The fees above mentioned is for B.Tech CSE Core)

There are various clubs, technical clubs and communities and all of them are quiet active as well. For Campus life i would say it's average. There is a "Innovate" ( Sports and E-Sports Event) JU Rythm is also organised which is a Cultural Fest

Hostel Rooms are good 1table, 1 Chair, 1 Bed is available plus AC is available in each room Flat style rooms are available. These flats style rooms are in sharing of 3 and each person will get separate rooms. One washroom and Hall is attached with the flat Mess Timings:- Breakfast - 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM Lunch - 11:30 AM - 2 PM Evening Snacks - 5:15 PM - 6:30 PM Dinner - 7:30 PM- 9:30 PM Mess food is so average. PGs are available nearby

I got admission in colleges in Bangalore and Southern states and this wasn't possible for me to travel that far. The admission process in JECRC University is quiet simple - 60% min criteria in all subjects in 12th grade We can apply online by visiting official website of JECRC University. Pay the admission fee and it's done

Honestly i would say all the teachers are good. Faculty to Student Ratio is 1:60 for theory classes and 1:30 for Practical Labs. Course structure is 5 Units for each subjects in 1st Semester. Total 3 InSem exams are conducted out of which 2 are compulsory. The syllabus for In Sems is 1st and 2nd unit for 1st Insem, 3rd,4th Unit for 2nd InSem and All 5 Units in 3rd InSem. End Sem exams are conducted at the end of the each semester. InSem exams are of 40 marks and End Sem Exams are of 100 marks

There was no interview or GD round for admission, but for other courses like B.Tech CSE specialization with Kalvium there's a test and interview conducted. Only those will get admission who are selected after the interview

There's no night life here. All food outlets are closed by 9 PM and hostel gates are closed by 10 PM for boys and 9 PM for girls. (So no entry is allowed after that.) University gates are closed by 8PM for boys and for girls last entry is before 6:30. Library timings are from 8 AM - 8 PM
