Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is very relevant not only in terms of academic but for the actual world. It prepares us to step in the real world. Lots of debates, group discussion and you can voice your own unique perspective. The course is excellent and the faculty will help you to learn even outside syllabus if you want for more knowledge. As they say knowledge is power.

Placement Experience

4

Well the last place I heard about was around 36k per month in hand for a ug degree student and she still has not received the official result. After she receive her degree, she'll get even more 100% . She also gets benefits etc. The college does help with placements. I personally will pursue higher studies in literature and then maybe phd, not sure tho. It's life .

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 59,000 rs for a year (2 semester) for a triple degree course in Bachelor of Arts. My subjects - Psychology, Literature and Economic. The college also invites companies who offers scholarship amounts to students for the entirety of their degree. SCC also provides scholarship in cases and have also been giving scholarships to Manipur students on various quotas. The fee is much affordable than other colleges according to my research in both ug and pg courses. The quality of teachers is also top notch and there are a lot of extracurricular activities. The classes are interactive and there are a lot of events and fests. There is a lot of diversity in students. There are students from all parts of India, from the mountains of North to the beaches of south. The college conducts various seminar almost every week for further development of students. The facilities are also good and there is a lot of opportunities for students to develop in academic, sports, social skills, professional skills and in life itself. It's gudd!!!

Campus Life

5

Campus Life - really good , you meet people of very different thought process and thinking. They push you to be socially active and improve your people skills. There are a lot of clubs there and you can also participate in other club's activities. Infrastructure is spacious, aesthetic and my favourite is the literary, it has good books.

Admission

Well personally, I didn't apply to many colleges because I loved this one. I did try SRM but they didn't have my course. I had an online interview for my selection. One the the faculty member took me through the entire process, they were very nice about it and explained everything I didn't know.

Faculty

5

I like the faculty, atleast as much as I know BA faculty or humanities department is the best. Very understanding. Exams are not easy but if you just pay attention to classes, you'll be more than okay. Not many students fail actually and they have extra classes for students who need it.

Night Life

4

There's a gym in campus, you can hand around in library. Hang back at the cafeteria. You can also go out to some cafes with friends. There is also a field nearby for sports. And it's safe at night, I once went out for a walk at 11:00 and it was all gold and nice actually. There is a police station near the college and Indian airforce is also very near. There is also BHEL near our college. I went there for dinner with someone too. Overall the area is good as compared to other areas and there are lots of marts for all basic amenities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of the dual degree that it has to offer, christ is one of the very few institutions that offer dual degree and allow you to explore both the subjects or gain combined knowledge of both the subjects. The curriculum is very up to date with subjects that relate to real world problems. What i like the most about my curriculum is the Learner centric approach where they divide the class into halves so that the teacher student ratio can be maintained in order to achieve full efficiency. One area of improvement can be inculcating more soft skills traininng into it.

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
