Amity University, Rajasthan review

I was from non-maths background but intersted in coding and programming so I had one choice for BCA so I searched for universities and took addmission in Amity university, Rajasthan. No real world applications are taught only theory and one example is taught , they also know that is not enough for us. Need proper scheduled classes without so we can learn a bit everyday. some teachers schedule classes and remain students sitting alone without teacher and when the time is over then the come and mark present and again to their office. And then in last they they take 5 to 10 classes and completes one module in one lecture. Iam not talking about every teacher , only talking about some of them.I personally like my teacher of maths , he never misses his classes inspite of this he takes extra classes sometimes and he really wants students to understand the concepts.

There is fees for the semesters. 69000 rupees for 1 semester and 5% increase every year. With fees there is 1000 rupees for medical emergency and every semester. And no external charges are there , just you need to buy stationary items as per assignments. There are no reservation for any catagory peoples and no fees discount too. Only students above 80 percent in 12th class gets 15 percent fees discount.

It is nice expriencing college life here as there are events usually happens in every month (some are free and some are paid). Names of events are Sunburn, Aagman, etc. Sports events are also placed every year. All the needed books are available in the library and you can get previous year question papers and all the necessary material important for exams are available there. Every classroom has projector so teacher usually comnects the laptop and taught us by presentation. If there is any specific topic which needs to be practised by student then classes for them is scheduled in the Computer lab. There is badminton, tennis, basketball, football, kabbadi,etc and activities like karate and NCC training here. No such student social groups or clubs are there only students of same cources connected to each other through whatapp group in which teacher is also added for perticular subject , group for every subject and one group in which only students are added.

It is dual room with two fans, two lights,two almirah,two pairs of table and chair and two charging sockets. You can give cloths for washing on wednesday and saturday. Hot water for bathing is available 24 hours and electricity too. You can feel safe enviornment here. Meal is average quality and chappati with any vegetable which is available are given with either daal or raita. Registration process is done with college registration and then we have to submit registration fees receipt to warden then he will register you here and give you necessary details. No i do not rented a room or PG.

I applied for chandigarh university but there was no BCA cource , i had to choose only BCA so i cancelled that , then I again search for popular colleges so I got to know about Amity university and its branches. Amity university ,Jaipur situated near me so took addmission here. I was aware that colleges can not help you this much that you can get a well paying job and i was correct , so you have to study extra on your own. Time management is much neccesary here. The day I went to amity university first time , I survey the campus ( it is nice) then i went to addmission cell. There I found staff members so one of them started guiding us about the course and its fee structure and also about the hostle and campus mess , etc. Then I took final decision for this college and enrolled here. You need to pay for college fees online , no cash system is allowed here.There was no catagory eligibility for any caste peoples , only if you get 80% in 12th class then there will be around 10 to 15 percent discount on fees. N o scholarship test was conducted , it's ok because it was not mentioned in the curriculum

Yes , faculty is very co-operative towards students and leaving 1 or 2 teachers rest all teachers are easy to approach. I like teacher of maths and web designing because they really want students to understand the concept and have polite nature with students. There are mid semester exam and Final exams means four exams in a year. Students passing ratio is way more but some fails due to not appering in exams. Teachers teaches only the things which are assigned in course and if you need internship or placement you need to study on your own. You will see lack of time after starting college life here. Few teachers do not teach well , so you need to study on your own.

We are not allowed to go out of hostle after 9:30 PM , if you want to go then you have to apply outpass and its granted by parents and hostle warden. Wardens are very strict. There is gym available here but there is no trainer. LIbrary has well insfrastructure and more then necessary books available. Public area closes around 9:30 pm. No famous hangout places near college.
