Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum was really well and relevant as per the PICTURE guidelines covering all the essential areas from all the subjects to get the maximum knowledge from the course. I chose this course because i always wanted to serve the country and follow a noble course, so that I can serve the country in a good way possible. As we were studying pharmacy, the subject of drugs and medicines. The responsibility to study was huge causenjn future we would be providing medicines to patients and if we were not fully prepared for the real world as a slightest mistake can cause a huge trouble to the patients. So our curriculum is designed in a way so that we can learn everything in detail and so that we would be prepared for the real world use of our degree. Teaching methods and strategies were good as per as my experience however there can be a little advancement in this like talking to students about latest researches in the field, using technologies to teach how the real world application would look like can help the students to grow better and learn things in a better way. Examination were happening time to time like end semester examination is on a 6 months gap and in every 2 months we were having mid semester examinations so that our knowledge can be checked.

Placement Experience

5

Placement was 40% with an average package of 3LPA, however people can also seek for off campus placements. Several companies like Alembic Pharma, Mcleods, Neon laboratories, etc came for college placements and approx 25-30 students were selected into them. Percentage of students getting placement vary from 60-80%

Other than that there was not any other extra charges like laboratory charges, practical charges, management charges, development charges, etc. Scholarship available was- UP Scholarship funded by UP Government. For General candidates- 37000Rs For OBC candidates- 37000Rs For SC & ST candidates- 69000Rs For all 4 year of our college life, we have received scholarship giving us a huge relief on our college fees. Other than that for back paper exams fees was 550Rs per subject.

Campus Life

5

Overall experience in my college was good as I have not only focused on my studies but also on the extracrriculars like volleyball and badminton. During my college life I attended and organized a lot of events like tech fest, startup festival, pharma fest, dandia nights, freshers, farewell and many more. I have also been members of several college groups like fitness club, sports club, etc.

Hostel Facilities

5

If I talk about hostel facility, let me give a review step by step- 1. Hostel rooms- double sharing rooms were available which are spacious enough for us to roam around and even dance if we want, other that hostel provided us bed, mattress, table, chair, almirah, etc. 2. Cleanliness- hostel cleanliness was good and starts were cleaning the hostel daily making it a good place to live in. 3. Food- 4 meals a day was provided and we were having a weekly schedule as per which we were receiving those meals, talking about taste, it was average not too good not bad. 4. Registration process- it was easy and hassle free to be honest, it was done by the online website and we can choose the room as per our convenience. 5. Other things- study room was there, badminton court, volleyball court, park, cycle stand, etc were available 6. Staff- we were having warren, assistant warden along with 2 hostel caretakers available anytime for help. 7. Emergency services- ambulance service was available in just 10minutes and warren were easkly available with doctor at any given time.

Admission

I chose this college as it was the top college in my state, U.P. for Bachelor of Pharmacy. Other than that I have not applied for other colleges so that I cannot compare much but still if I talk about the difference, I feel there is much more advancement in other colleges in other states compared to our college whether it is conducting practical and researches or studying the recent studies. For getting into my college i have qualified UPSEE exams with good rank and then got into the college, cutoffs for that year was 1800rank.

Faculty

4

The faculty members were really good, knowledgeable and easy to connect so it was a really great learning experience. Faculty members were not only highly qualified and but also deeply committed to students success. Different professors were from different specializations including Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Regulatory Affairs, etc. Researches- Many of those faculty members were also pursuing their researchs, contributing to reputable journals, publications and conferences. This also provides great opportunities for students who want to pursue their interest towards researches. I liked all of the faculty members in the university as they were easy to approach and I have learned a lot of things from them. My favourite professors were Dr. Ajay Kumar Gupta, Dr. Anupriya Kapoor, Dr. PC Gupta, etc In 4 years of my B.Pharm degree there were total 8 semesters- 8 semester examinations and 2 mid-sem exams every semester. Difficulty of examination varies from subject to subject and examination papers were created as per the guidelines so as to check the maximum understanding of students for the subjects. Taking about the course curriculum, it was as per the examining body guidelines and everything was taught in detail.

Night Life

5

Due to hostel timing constraints we were not allowed to go outside after 10PM however during evening time we usually enjoy in the parks and gym areas. At night we played badminton, volleyballad enjoyed music nights in our hostel as our hostel was equipped with these facilities making it a great experience for us.
