Course Curriculum Overview

3

ACADAMIC RIGOR AND CURRICULUM i would give it a 8/10, it is well structured. FACULTY EXPERTISE I WOULD GIVE IT 8.5/10- they are knowledgeable and passionate. INFRASTRUCTURE AND RESOURCES i would give 7.5/10 because it might be well maintained but it needs mordernization. overall i would rate it 8/10

Internships Opportunities

4

There arent many internship opportunities for my course i get my opportunities unofficial but they are very fun. We have a lot of practical work so the projects given to use are always fun and an amazing experience and everyone is so excited to do it everytime. We have projects like making a movie or documentary or etc.

Placement Experience

1

The placements in my college are pretty decent but there is only placements for other courses like computer science, cyber security etc the arts departments dont have any placements but there are placement for othet coursed from top companies like deloitte. One student's highest package was 12,00000/- per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am currently pursuing a bachelor of arts in mass communication in loyola academy, old alwal. The annual fees for my course are 84000. while i understand that the fees are subject to change, i am concerned that the fees have increased significantly over the past few years. Our seniors were paying a significantly lower amount so the sudden increase has put a strain on my and my classmates. The whole fees including the tuition fees, resgistration fees, caution fees and other charges is 84,887. I think the fees for my batchmates is the same too, there are no scholarships or placements for my course but there are are placements and scholarships for other courses.

Campus Life

4

Loyola offers various extracurricular activities, clubs, and various societies that help students develop new skills, explore their interests, and build their confidence. But there are few strict rules asm regulations that are stupid sometimes and we also have transportation and parking vehicles issues. My overall experience has been enriching and memorable.

Admission

I did not apply to any other colleges I applied only to this one college because what i wanted was only there in this college and it was closer to my home. The admission process of this college was very easy i had to give an interview ans they would ask me why im joining the college and all. Loyola is the only college close to a university thats had better fees structure so i chose this college. I didnt apply for any other colleges because I was working and i thought if i dont get in loyola i will take a year gap.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is okay. And most of the teachers are approachable and have a good relationship with their students but few of them arent that good and not approachable, some of the teachers are very rude and not proff and at all. I liked my HOD her name is bindu ma'am she is very approachable and i dont like a few teachers thag i would prefer not mentioning because they bully students and they think they are disciplining them but it is not true. There are 3 exams in every semester, they are mid semester-1 exam and mid semester- 2 exam and last final exam, which is pretty easy and not a lot of students fail in the exam but there are few who fail.

Night Life

3

My campus does not have a nightlife because it is a college and not a university. All the students are expected to leave the campus before 6pm and the Pastors live in the campus everyday they have their own residence in the campus and there is boys and girls hostel in the campus they are very strict and the doors are locked beofre 9pm. As i do not live in the hostel i dont know much about it. There are many cafes outside the college and mc donalds, subway, mandis etc outside the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main reason why I chose this course for my graduation I.e. BA ( Bachelor of Arts) is because I love doing Arts and I'm little dumb at studying lengthy topics and theories. I'm also a good artist as well doing paintings and drawings from my school life to now. My arts influenced me to choose this course and stick with it as I love Arts and Socialize the outer world. Journalism brought me intrest as it is a socialist job to do and has to be an extrovert for that so I just needed to be. Coming to improvement the faculty need to improve some teaching by giving more practicals and projects to students as it impacts what the student has acknowledged in the course and classes. Weekly they conduct exams which is good but instead they can give projects which relates to the course we are doing and students should feel more interested in it and do it intresting.
