My views on Genesis Dental College Firozpur

The curriculum is strictly of that of and BDS course which will eventually lead me to become a Doctor. It prepares us to understand the human body and more specifically the human jaw and it's related things. It prepares us to be better doctors in future. Considering how relevant is the course there are no improvement that should be taken. Exams are held in every 2 to 3 months from the college and if u study well everything is easy for you

1 year of internship is a must for every student to graduate from the course. The internship itslef is provided by the college. You have to work in each department with a certain quote of patients that needed to be completed. They also takes you for camps where you get to experience day to day situation with oral care among the backward class

We are paying around 285000 and yes it did increased by 15000 . Scholarship are provided only for people from kashmir . Every student has different package as one of my batchmate is paying 300000 as she has taken a special room

Campus life is good enough. DJ parties are held in every 3 months or so. As for events its quite random . A sport week is also held each year which is quite fun and refreshing. Also there are events like freshers and farewells which is fun too There is a library in the college and u will find everything related to your course. He have projecters in every lecture hall which is used by the professors to teach from there ppts. Campus is quite normal and peaceful as most of the time study is given more priority . Eventually it can be quite boring too as there is not much to do and not much going on

There are 2 category of room available in hostel. 1st category :- Normal double room with no washroom Notmal single room with no washroom 2nd category :- Special double room with washroom Special single with washroom Each room cost are different. If u want to keep any appliances extra money is added to your charges. Each room is provided with beds, tables , chairs, drawers , mirror and bookshelf. Mess is not so good. Something they make good food but most of the time it sucks. A week menu is already decided and it goes on without any changes. Hostel and mess is already include in the package. PGs are also available just behind the college. Friendly locality and has strict security

I applied for english hons in DU and BHU . Which was my backup plan as i was preparing for NEET exams . I aslo gave CUET exams as my back up plan. After my NEET was not so successful i opted for going into DU but eventually my father suggested on sticking to medical line. Eventually getting into Baba Farid University counselling and getting into this college. For eligibility you should be qualified in NEET and have 60? in both class 10 and 12 . Management at the time of admission is very helpful

Faculty is very helpful and supporting. Relationship between the faculty to student is very good and really ipen minded and supportive. Till now my vest experience was with the Anatomy department as the teachers were really good, supporting and knowledgeable. Gave every students same attention and time . I didn't like the Physiology department as the teachers changed 2 times in a year had difficulties in adapting the change in teaching patterns. There are 3 terminals that are conducted by the college. Then there is Final exams that are conducted by the university. The theory and practical are held separately. The exams difficultiesdepends upon the professor who sets our exams. I would say it can range upto medium to hard. And the course is really relevant to the curriculum.

There is no night life around here. Shops here usually closes around 10 . There are 2 gyms nearby where most of the students like to workout. Various cafes are also present by is quite a distance away from the college. Outing in weekdays are from 3 pm to 7pm in summers and 3pm to 6pm in winters. Sunday from 6am to 6pm . Famous hangout for students are cafes and parks . Night are not safe here. Very dangerous in night
