Course Curriculum Overview

4

I opted this course beacuse of my friends. The exams schedules are not correct. This is beacuse of Kerala University. As the exam schedule is not proper the students had to face many difficulties. The semester they are studying and the exams they are going to write will be different.

Internships Opportunities

4

I had done many internships. There are many opportunities available in my college for interships. I had done interships in government institutions. I had done internship in Police Station, GST Commision, Lokyukta, District Court etc. They also helps us to do internship in Supreme court and High court.

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual fees paid was 53,000 rupees. I was in NRI Quota. Mangangement Quota was different it will come around 50,000rupees per year. And the people who wrote entrance exam fees comes under 35000 to 45000 rupees.

Campus Life

4

The overall campus life was beautiful actually. It is a student friendly campus. It is a ragging free campus. If you are looking mainly for study purpose this campus is the best option. We have big classrooms where each classrooms can accomodate 60 to 70 students. Sports and extracurricular activities are there in the campus. But they give more importance for studies.

Admission

I opted this college because of my friends. They suggested me this college. And when I enquired this college was the best for academic performance. If you want to study properly and your main aim is studies this college is perfect. I was rejected from Law Academy because I didn't get enough marks in plus two.

Faculty

5

The facluties are friendly. Especially some teachers and office staffs are very friendly. All faculties are easily approchable including Principal. My favorite teacher is Ramachandran sir. He is so friendly with all the students.

Night Life

4

The college is sutuated near the city. So all the main places are easily accessible from the college. A very well organized library. Campus timing is from 8:30 to 12:30. Hostel entering time is 6:30.Gym availability is not there. Cafteria is a place where we can enjoy during the intervals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The moot court competitions and debate competitions are conducted many times in a year which are very useful for a law student.I wish if there are more interested college competitions then it would be more useful.Usually there is a gap of six months between two exams and during that period students get enough time for preperation.

Placement Experience:

The college does have a placement program. It's mainly to companies which have a law department. I don't specifically know the companies but I've heard it offers great exposure. The companies include Technopark companies, UST etc. The package starts from 20000 per month and maybe above according to our profile. My personal loan after the couse is to practice law as an advocate and then go for the judgeship programe.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the curriculum 3.5 out of 5 . The major con is that the curriculum in Government law College Thiruvananthapuram is solely made for litigation in the court . There is less scope for corporate level studies. Curriculum is up to date and I personally think that several other act should be added for real world application like insurance law , narcotics abkari act are not included. Exams are usually on time comparing to other universities in Kerala still it's not conducted nearly after the semester ends
