Course Curriculum Overview

3

I didn't particularly go for this college but joining this college had changed my mind and it was the best decision i've taken. Curriculum mostly tries to prepare you for real-world but far away from it. The course so behind like i am in 2010s or something. The curriculum is the only dissapoint in this college. My curriculum is pvp20 which is very behind with every others i'm competing. But for the newer admissions the college has changed curriculum into very helpful and preparing for the real-world scenarios. Teaching methods depends on faculty mostly every faculty is good at teaching and making us understand the course better. The exam timings are on point , for the first 14 weeks completing 2 and half units of syllabus then Mid - 1 examination for 1 week. Then for another 14 weeks next 2 and half units then Mid - 2 exam for 1 week. Then a week of lab externals and 2 or 3 weeks of semester exams. Exams are competitive enough to make us study and hard , exams are relatively easy if you are studying parallely to the course and following faculty in the class.

Internships Opportunities

4

The projects are most important and choose correctly what you want to do for the project that is going to be a part of your resume. There will be a community service project in 2nd year which will be alloted to you. And there will be self/solo project need to be done before 4th year. The last and final project need to be done in 4:2 which is IEEE paper publishing project. College does provide virtual internships , i have done 3 virtual internships till now as 2nd year , 3rd year and 4th year . These internships are very helpful for the resumes and towards academics.

Placement Experience

4

Placements of my college are good even after the covid times. Mostly the faculty makes sure that everyone is getting placed. Students are eligible for placements from either sem 3:1 or 3:2. The companies visited my college are - amazon , accenture , virtusa , capgemini , cognizant , tcs , walmart , valuelabs , wipro , infosys and many others. for the year 2023-2024 the college got total 1005 offers. The highest package of college was 44lpa in amazon secured by 3 students. Pvp has record of 90% of students getting placed. I've currently got one offer and attempting for other companies. Placements overall could be improved but it's not on college as the social economics of the country is not great currently.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees I paid was 79k. There will be no other registration fees or admission fees. There will be lab fees for the first year(chemistry lab). For the management category fee the year i joined they asked for 2,10,000 per year. There are many scholarship opportunities u can avail. Every faculty will be helpfull to get u the scholarship. There will certain requirements needed for the scholarship such as gpa , financial status. I didn't get any scholarship due to financial status. My friends did get their scholarships though. There is no need of any caste for scholarships, all are eligible for it.

Campus Life

2

Campus life is mediocre considering all the social aspects , pvp is more focused on academics and not other co-curricular activities. There use to be clubs in college but not any more. There is one annual festival called sitar it'll happen every year and it's the most fun event in college. The event would mostly be held in month end of february or first week of march. There is library in the college having most of the books related to academics. The library is most useful if you are into physcial books and easily accessible to everyone. The labs are the most advanced of all the college (pvp was built in 1997). The classrooms are not eye jarring but they are rooms and they do look old compared to other uni's. Sports are good in college too, the pt sir would encourage to participate in competions and be supportive towards the end. There are no particular groups or clubs run by students themselves but there is women club and there are activities which helps in women empowerment.

Admission

This college isn't particularly my choice , my parents choosed as it was recommened as good college(but glad i did joined it). I did apply to many other colleges but didn't make it in due to the eamcet rank. To secure the seat in my college for cse you need to get a rank of 6k for OC. At the time of my admission there is no entrance exam test and only eamcet is allowed. But as of nowadays my college is conducting entrance exams for admissions. The admission was crisp and clear at my time. Got my notification , took the letter print went to college signed some forms and i got in , that's it.

Faculty

5

The faculty of college is the heart of the body. They make it fun and enjoy the college life as well as the academics . They always make sure you are using your potential and doesn't go to waste. My college has the best student to faculty relationship , they are very approachable and open towards always clarifying and helping in your doubts. Our CSE hod mam is the best , she is always towards students and their careers making sure they are getting placed and helping us by taking constant feedbacks. She even conducts special classes for those who are behind academics and making them perform well. She has been the greatest faculty i've seen in my whole educations. The exam pattern according to my academic years are there will be 2 mid exams , Mid -1 for the first 2 and half units & Mid -2 for the last 2 and half units , after Mid -2 there will be external lab exams and follwed semester exams. Most of the students clear their exams on first attempt . There is no bias in correction of the exams everything is unbiased and fair. Course curriculum is relevant at the time of my admission but as of now it's behind everything.

Night Life

3

The hostels and campus are very far off and not in the same space. As I'm not a hosteler and a dayscholar i don't know much about the nightlife around the college. The campus timings are 9am to 4pm or 5pm depending on the semester. The famous hangout place is canteen of course.
