Life at amrita

Me choosing pharmacy as my carrer wasn't beacuse of amrita but i wanted to achieve it through the best institution in india . From when i came to know about amrita. The quality of education provided here is outstanding and the value of our certificates is beyond words. The teaching methods and the way the interactions are done in classes made me more intrested in the course

There are many companies which provide placement opportunities for our students and packages are quite good we can choose from industrial or clinical opportunities. For example like Sun Pharma , Cipla and many more .

Our collage start training the students from 7th sem onwards that is 4th yr we have a wide variety of placement options in our college . The placement officer in our provides support for all the help required for a better placement . The salary packages are quite remarkable .

The fees stucture is actually not high. It gets reduced some what according to the year u pass. And there is also fee reduction for great cgpa scoring students. Fees structure is quite resonable for the quality of education ??

We have a lot of clubs which provides lot of activities for the students . We also have an arts fest and sports fest which are the two important events in our campus . The campus life is peaceful appar from our hostel life which is very much not digestable the food provided is never to the mark not even once which is not promising at all .

As mentioned hostel meal quality is poor and not acceptable and there is no provision for stay in hostel alone and to avoid food the fee structure cannot be disturbed . This is for UG course . Students pay huge amount for hostel still go out to eat or order in as they cannot adjust with it . The same meals keep on repeating every weeks .

I applied to different colleges across india and came to a conclusion that amrita would be perfect for me . Getting into amrita is not tough compared to other exams the entrance exams where easy and good . I got seat in amrita first and so this became my priority and after the admission here i got into another collages across india but before that amrita was my choice .

As we are a deemed to be university.... from our batch onwards the course structure is changed. Students find it easier as well as tough due to frequent exams and as mentioned the attendance policy. The student teacher interaction is good as well as the we as students can approch any phd scholars who are ready to help up any time . I personally liked studing pharmaceutical analysis in our first year and right now i would say i kinda like microbiology classes which are quite intresting . When compared students who fail to clear exams are more on the lesser side as they provide a huge space to score marks in our sessionals which are conducted twice in a semester.

We don't have like night life and stuff the college timings are till 6pm and boys hostel till 9 pm we find it very difficult to adjust to the hostel life here the food provided is on the worst side and not a single action taken by the authorities . Saftey regarding the locality is kinda okay . But not safe outside the hospital premises .
