Honest review of KNIT Sultanpur

My college is affifliated to AKTU so the curriculum is same as that of AKTU . Acording to me the curriculum is quite relevent . In our first year we are taught all the basics /fundamentals of all the subjects including electronics , mechanics , physics , chemistry and many more . there are well equipped labs and the lab teachers are also very good , they teach practical use of what we are studying . there are also workshops in our college , where practical uses of all the mechanics are taught . In our college class test are carried out twice as mid sems . whose numbers are included in the final semester result , and in the final there are practicals and final semester exams. Acording to me the level of exam is moderate to hard depanding on the subject ...

Yes , there are internship opportunities for the students . to dela with the training and palcements procedures , industrial interactons , and internships , the college has Career development cell (CDC) that take care of the needs of the students . the students from our college are offered opportinities to work either remotely or even as direct interns under professional mentors in a professional environment on a variety of projects .

Yes there are on campus placents in our college , there is also a placement cell in the college . the placement for branches CSE , IT , and Electronics are descent around 80 - 85 % students got palced with an average package of 10 - 11 Lpa . But the placements in core branches mechanical , civil and electrical is a little depressing as the placements are very low in these branches , many core branches students go in to IT sector . Recently three of our seniors are placed with a package of 21 lpa . Highest package of our college is 45 lpa .

I am from Information technology branch , in our college the IT branch is self financed to its fees is more than all other branches . The total fees for IT branch adds up to Rs. 88850/year . which comprises Rs. 55000 institutre fee , 5000 caution money , 5000 examination fee . hostel fees is also included in this amount which is 10000/year. The students belonging from SC and ST got fee reimbursement and have to pay a very small amount . I dont know the actual amount but it is around 5000 . Students can also apply for UP scholarship . the given scholarship amount is around Rs.50000 for gen/obc .

The overall campus life is very good . There are many clubs in our college namely photography and fine arts club , cultural club , hobby club , coding club and many more . these clubs organise many fests and events , the best of all the events is our annual fest "Anubhuti" . Recently a face painting event and a cultural was organised in the college which was amazing . Sports activities are also there in the college , almost all the games are palyed in college including voleyball , football, basketball , javelin throw , athletics etc. a library is also present in the college campus where students can get all the necessary books , journals and everything ...

Yes , the college provides hostel facilities , there are overall 10 hostels of which 8 are for boys and other two for the girls . It is mandatory to take hostel in the first year , in the later years you can take your own room outside in the PGs . In the first year there are two seeter and three seeter rooms , which contains bed ,table, chair fan and almirah for each person . there is 24 hour water, electricity and wifi facility in the hostel. The mess food in first is very good , I say even better than home . but in the later years it degrades a little . but the overall hostel is amazing ...

Admissions in our college are done through UPTU councelling , which uses JEE Mains score for admission . The cutoff is different for all the categories , as i am from obc , i can tell about the obc cutoff , for IT branch the obc cutoff was around 79k . My rank was around 71k so get admission in IT branch , the final OBC cutoff for cse branch was around 65k . In my choice filling i filled several other colleges , i was also getting CSE in BIET Jhansi college , but I prefered to take IT KNIT Sultanpur , because this college is much much better than the other one. my college is ranked 7 in overall UP , and second in AKTU .

All the faculties are well qualified and experienced . they support all the students , and are very polite and teach very calmly . Faculties also help the students preparing for GATE , higher studies and any other government exams . I like my electonics teacher - Raj srivastava sir , because i can connect to him very easily . If i talk about the exam system , as the college is autonomus the exams are conducted within the college . the level of exam is moderate to high .

The night life of the college is not that good but ok . There is not any gym in the college , there is a library where you can study ata ny time of the day , there are 5 canteens in all over campus , there is also amul frenchise like somethinf where you can get icecream and other necessities . Taking a hostel is compulsary in fiest year .the hostel in timing is 10:30 . so if you come after the time you will not be allowed to enter the hostel as the guards are very strict to rules .
