Course Curriculum Overview

1

The course is completely irreleveant to the industry and course curriculum is really bad Curriculum does not prepare me for real world applications, whatever i have learnt, i have learnt from myself and from courses. Course curriculum can be improved by including latest tech and not by teaching students about 50 yr old syllabus. Instead of exams there should be assignments and project submissions which really makes the student ready for real world and real life opportunities. There are two mid sems in each semester alogn with one final sem written exam and also internal and external viva in which all questions are repeatative.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee is around 35500 per semester and there is a fee waiver for Sc/St/OBC Students which ranges from 10k - 30k per semester. Also this 35.5k includes all cation fee, tution fee, etc. Also last semester there was an extra 2500 for the Training and Placement Cell (TPO).

Campus Life

3

I was the Lead of Google developer students club, and managed a really good community and got to know many people from my college who were really good at what they do. I met good people and was extremely motivated by them. The cultural fest is not good and filled with student politics and i stay away from it just enjoy it from afar. faculties and tech provisions within classrooms and books and journals does not exists. I run the GDSC and i am also part of meta developer circle and microsoft student learn ambassador club and it is the only thing which is helpful

Admission

I did not choose this college over other colege. I did not gave jee, and was not supposed to do engineering in the first place. One professor from my college was a good friend of my father and then my parents decided to put me into this college for engineering in computer science. I have been doing really well i am the topper of my batch, i have won 5 international level hackathons. and doing really well. but since to mention this college has not helped me in any way. Also this college celebrates my personal achievements for their advertisement purpose but does not support me in any possible way.

Faculty

2

Thew faculty to student ratio of the college would be around 1 faculty for every 50 students, only because it is there in the university norms. I only liked one or two faculties from the college, because there were only those one or two faculties which were good in behaviour, and none of them had industry level experience and knowledge. The syllabus has no relevance to real life skills theere is still old 50 yrs old syllabus. 2 msts in each sem and one final sem written exam.

Night Life

1

There is no nightlife in my college as i stay in the same city as my college. The canteen is terrible and smell terribly bad but still students have no other option than to buy stuff from that shitshow of a canteen. I dont really know about hostel timings. There is a small garden in college which is not allowed to be visited by students often.

Students those who have good cgpa(8+) can easily get placed from here. The university has a very dedicated placement cell and last year of course goes into only placement process. The average package is between 8 to 10 lpa , according college highest placemnt till date was of 1.02 cr. But one needs to maintain very high cgpa to even sit in the placement.

Not in full flow as placements requires luck here. Some lower CGPA ranked students get placements here while top graders. University brings in corporate and ask us to appear for the interview. All in all around half the strength from JUET, Guna are placed in companies like TCS, Infosys, Polaris, and Zentih among some others.

To make students better, placements cell of our college arranges CIRT Classes. Like this year all the third year students has to attend that mandatorily. So that increases the chances of placements. This is one of the major factor why our placements ratio now is around 80% which was earlier just the 60%.
