Course Curriculum Overview

1

The course is completely irreleveant to the industry and course curriculum is really bad Curriculum does not prepare me for real world applications, whatever i have learnt, i have learnt from myself and from courses. Course curriculum can be improved by including latest tech and not by teaching students about 50 yr old syllabus. Instead of exams there should be assignments and project submissions which really makes the student ready for real world and real life opportunities. There are two mid sems in each semester alogn with one final sem written exam and also internal and external viva in which all questions are repeatative.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee is around 35500 per semester and there is a fee waiver for Sc/St/OBC Students which ranges from 10k - 30k per semester. Also this 35.5k includes all cation fee, tution fee, etc. Also last semester there was an extra 2500 for the Training and Placement Cell (TPO).

Campus Life

3

I was the Lead of Google developer students club, and managed a really good community and got to know many people from my college who were really good at what they do. I met good people and was extremely motivated by them. The cultural fest is not good and filled with student politics and i stay away from it just enjoy it from afar. faculties and tech provisions within classrooms and books and journals does not exists. I run the GDSC and i am also part of meta developer circle and microsoft student learn ambassador club and it is the only thing which is helpful

Admission

I did not choose this college over other colege. I did not gave jee, and was not supposed to do engineering in the first place. One professor from my college was a good friend of my father and then my parents decided to put me into this college for engineering in computer science. I have been doing really well i am the topper of my batch, i have won 5 international level hackathons. and doing really well. but since to mention this college has not helped me in any way. Also this college celebrates my personal achievements for their advertisement purpose but does not support me in any possible way.

Faculty

2

Thew faculty to student ratio of the college would be around 1 faculty for every 50 students, only because it is there in the university norms. I only liked one or two faculties from the college, because there were only those one or two faculties which were good in behaviour, and none of them had industry level experience and knowledge. The syllabus has no relevance to real life skills theere is still old 50 yrs old syllabus. 2 msts in each sem and one final sem written exam.

Night Life

1

There is no nightlife in my college as i stay in the same city as my college. The canteen is terrible and smell terribly bad but still students have no other option than to buy stuff from that shitshow of a canteen. I dont really know about hostel timings. There is a small garden in college which is not allowed to be visited by students often.

Placement Experience:

Placement at SKITM are decent and improving year by year . Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Reputed companies like TCS,wipro , Infosys and some emerging firms visit the campus. The averages package is around 3-4 LPA ,while the higher goes upto 6-7 LPA in some cases . Around 60% students get placed , especially those who have good technical skills and communication skills. The college also provide basic training and guidance for placements, which helps students prepare for interview The college provide some support, but it is not enough for high - paying jobs, so students need to prepare on their own.

And till now around 90 companies have visited this campus and highest package till now is 70 LPA and average package is 7 LPA. Around 1500 students every year get placed from this campus. And my plans after the degree is either landing in a high paying job or staring with my own startup.

In my collge Students typically become eligible to participate in campus recruitment drives from the 7th Semester(start of the 4th year). However , the collge starts preparation much earlier through Campus Recruitment Training(CRT) and soft skills classes, which often begin as early as the 1st and 2nd emester to ensure students are industry-ready. Total Offers:For the 2024-2025 cycle, the institute reported over 300 to 450+ offers across various branches. Key Companies: IT/Software:TCS(Top recruiter), Infosys , Wipro , Capgemini , Cognizant ,HCL , Accenture, Cisco , Tech Mahindra Netlink ,Jaro education , Logical Softtech , KD provission , Kadel labs , Blueflames and many more. Verage package 5.0 - 9.0 LPA. Approximately 75% to 84% of eligible students get placed. The CSE and IT branches see the highest success rates(often 80%+), while core branches like Mechanical and Civil focuses more on the core companies placements. Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are very good in one sense but okayish in some other. Many companies visit the college but only some of them are good and if one loses opportunity in some top companies, then only low paying companies remain. Students become eligible for college placements after 6 semester. Some top companies visiting for placements include, Goldman Sachs, Databricks, Google, Zomato, Amazon, etc. All of the students in my branch have received their offers except one or two, who will receive it eventually. Highest package this year is 1.04Cr INR and average would fall around 30L INR. Percentage of students getting placed in my branch is around always 100%. My plans after a degree is to work in industry offered to me by my placements, but even if I don't get on campus placement, I would be seeking out off campus placements and I am positive, I'll be in good place.
