Course Curriculum Overview

5

I would give a rating of 10 out of 10. They are engaging students to solve practical problems, analyzing the real time business situation ,the economy ,etc.Teaching Methods are both traditional as well as Modern and in fact in coming time the white boards will get digitalized. The college is making the Brand very strong day by day.

Internships Opportunities

5

Companies that came for Placement were Morgan stanley,Bajaj Finserv,Yes Securities, etc only some of them offered stipends. I got my Internship at financial services "Millenium Money finance " Where I worked as Equity Research Intern. I was supposed to do the Industry Analysis, particularly of FMCG.

Placement Experience

4

We are undergoing a Placement Season in the duration of sem V and in my opinion good companies are coming to college where people had been shortlisted for the interviews and some got placements too. Its all upon us how we perform ,because college is bringing companies worth applying. Companies Visited were Linedata,ITC,General Mills,L&T Realty,Suntech Realty, etc The highest Package so far overall would be 10Lakhs and average is 6Lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

So There's a initial deposit to book your seat , rest I have paid 900000 Rs for my course. Also they give Scholarship to students where 2Lakhs were wavered. Maybe the course fees could increase surely due to Bloomberg lab facility.

Campus Life

5

We have Pratyush as our Cultural event which typically lies in February Month.Yes the Kolad camp will go in December with a 5 days stay in.The Library has plenty of Books like Fiction, self help Reference books, etc You can order the books which are relevant for your study by requesting the librarian. There's a game room and yes there's this Cricket matches held too. Each student is assigned a club where has to work in which consist Of Alumni Club,Entrepreneurship club,Academic Quizzes, etc.

Admission

First of all I wasn't aiming this college, I was getting NL Dalmia College but due to high fees The next good college I felt after Dalmia was IES compare to the other colleges in Bandra. The admission Process had a Personal interview with Passing criteria of CET ,ATMA,CMAT whichever entrance test you have given.Just you need to have a decent /passing marks in the entrance. Although the environment here is quite good less competitive, unlike Dalmia. The Focus in here is balancing our lives with fun as well as studies.

Faculty

5

Our Faculty is very friendly, and they understand you well. Yes, they are approachable. They will guide you and point out your mistakes so you will improve. There's one Professor in every college who is almost everybody's Favourite, none other than Prof.Sushma Karwa who will observe your communication skills and mold you in a better way.You will be assigned a mentor, with whom you will seek help if you face any problem. So mine was Prof.Priyanka Oza who is little bit strict on the work given but you will find her very cool.Every Faculty Contributes in their unique capabilities you just have to seek the knowledge from them. All our Finance Faculties are best in their core Areas like Valuation,Capital Markets ,Risk Management etc. You will have Six semesters where in the the Sixth one is about your Management project. For us the marking scheme was aggregate of Internal and External but recently they change to Separate marks for Internal and Externals The exam level is quite Easy to Moderate and you can achieve good marks if you study the important topics given by the Professor. The course curriculum includes giving presentation ,switch class activities, solving Havard case studies, etc which is very relevant to shape the students.

Interview Experience

5

I had only the Personal Interview where my Knowledge ,capabilities and overall suitability was accessed. There wasn't any Group Discussion or Test in the admission process. There was no such criteria they require passing percentage ,but it can change by the time. I prepared my Introduction well and had my basics clear in my field.

Night Life

4

After classes students can hangout to places like candies which is very near to college ,also bandstand and can explore Bandra city, its very Beautiful.College has a small CCD and a canteen which is a Restaurant for localities to with all the Chinese as well as Indian food. Yes its very safe there in and around even if you happen to wait for long in the campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Students become eligible for placements after completing 2nd semester and entering in 3rd semester. Attendance is compulsory for getting the opportunity for placements. The companies like IDBI Bank, HDFC Bank, Property pistol, Godrej Capital are available for placements. The highest paid package is 9.75 for sales and marketing. Till now( 3rd semester) 60% to 70% students are placed. There are more opportunities for sales and marketing as compared to other fields.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Overall, I would say that I think this is a very unique course being offered by SP Jain and they are very strict with the submission timelines and quality of work. This is definitely is not a run off the mill part time MBA. The institute makes sure you sweat to earn your degree, respectfully!
