- The portal is really easy to use. They use blackboard LMS for everything. Proper guidance is provided
- Working professionals can join as the classes are on the weekends
- Support team is excellent average response time is less than 24hrs.
Dislikes
- I disliked the pattern of exam as exams are conducted on 3 given slots and dates we have to choose it has to be same for every student.
- I don’t know hut we are supposed to submit Mathematics Assignment on Word or PDF that was disturbing.
Course Curriculum Overview
The reason I joined was thd weekend classes and flexible timings we have all the recording provided bh the college for any classes missed. We have a coursera premium subscription provided by the university. That is the plus point.
Placement Experience
There is complete campus placement support procided by the college. Including that we will be a part of the alumni network where all teh alumni's are there. We will get the placements as there placements rates are 98% having a average placement of ?7.5 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fees is ?1,50,000 where ?25,000 per semester or ?4,168 per month No-Cost EMI. The choices are on the students. If a student scores well in an specific scholarship examination he/she gets proper scholarship benefits, I haven't opted for that.
Campus Life
So, I am not a part of the campus as I am an Online Student for this university but, there is a mess provided with good food and sports are a priority there. We online students are allowed to visit the campus and enjoy classes and all the benefits.
Admission
I will comparing this with Amity University Online. As I applied to Amity and UPES both of these universities and opted for UPES Online only because UPES gives all the benefits that amity gives but it also has some benefits that are not available in Amity Online. They provide us the Coursera Premium Subscription. Plus, there are only two electives to choose from in the Amity Online rather being 4 here in UPES Online.
Faculty
So there are 2 Assignments and 1 End term examination in each semester. Each semester has classes on the weekends on Saturdays and Sundays. Timings are from 9am-3pm, these timings are flexible. Each assignment has 15% weightage and exams have rest 85% weightage of the total marks in the semester. Assignments 1&2 are of 30 and 100 marks respectively. Exams are of 100 marks also. The way of teaching by the faculty is really simple and easy to understand. Faculty is really helpful and appreciative towards the students.
Night Life
I cant say much about the night life. As I am not a part of that group or say the students living in the campus. But I contacted one of the campus students, so according to him. Night life and female students have rhe best security amongst any universities nearby or far from UPES.
Other Applied Colleges
Amity University Online | Bachelor of Computer Applications [BCA]
I didn’t opted for this college because, I am getting Coursera Membership free of cost with the program I am enrolled in. Although the fees is same but The electives on the programees are completely different in both of the universities
