About IMS
Institute of Management Studies Roorkee, established in 1996 is one of the premier institutes of higher Professional Management Education affiliated to the Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. The Management Institute, Roorkee offers numerous programs in Commerce, Computer and Management discipline at the UG and PG level. Admission to the UG courses offered by the institute is done based on the candidate’s performance in the previous qualifying examination, whereas for MBA course admission is done based on the candidate’s performance in the national level management entrance examination such as CAT/ MAT/ XAT.
The placement cell at IMS, Roorkee aims at providing placement to maximum number of students. Some of the top recruiters of the institute are Bisleri, HCL, ITC Limited, India Bulls, ICICI Limited among others. While deciding on a college , I considered several factors such as faculty quality, campus facilities and placement opportunities. Other universities I applied for are Chandigarh university, GEU . I choose Ims university cause of the following reasons which are - Faculty to student ratio is quite favourable , strong emphasis on practical application of subjects through projects, case study and internship .

I have got admission on the basis of my 12th board results and I have not given any sort of exam for the BBA course with IMS Dehradun and got application forms from the college website itself. No reservation benefits were availed and the only improvement needed is they go should go for less fee structure.

The course curriculum is well set and contains every important thing. The faculty: student ratio is 1: 15. All the faculty members are well qualified and cooperative. We have exams in every semester on a regular basis and the exams are average in difficulty level.

To build my career in the field of business management I took MBA for my postgraduation. The course curriculum of the program is very well set. The faculty: student ratio of the college is 1:15. The faculty here is very experienced many of them hold a PhD degree. They are good at handling the latest technical equipments. Our term exams are held on time and are easy to pass.
