Admission
Colleges Applied To & Admission Outcome Applied to MNIT Jaipur, LNMIIT Jaipur, and BITS Pilani. Got admission to JIET Jodhpur and MNIT Jaipur. Why JIET?: Chose JIET for affordable fees, decent placements, and comfortable campus life. Rejection from Other Colleges Did not get into BITS Pilani; high competition and cutoff were factors. Admission Process at JIET Jodhpur Eligibility: 12th with 45-50% in PCM. Exams Accepted: JEE Main (preferred), REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process). Cutoff: Around 60 percentile for JEE Main. The process was smooth, with easy online registration and document submission.
Faculty
Faculty-to-Student Ratio 1:20 to 1:25, ensuring personalized attention. Faculty-Student Relationship & Approachability Faculty are approachable and offer good academic support. Liked Faculties Some students appreciate Dr. Ramesh Sharma (CSE) for his teaching style and problem-solving approach. Disliked Faculties A few students feel that some lecturers could be more interactive and engaging in their teaching methods. Exams Exams are moderate in difficulty, focusing on conceptual understanding. Some students fail to clear exams in the initial semesters but improve with consistent effort. Course Relevance The course curriculum is generally relevant but could be updated more frequently to align with industry trends.

Hostel & Campus Timings Hostel: Curfew around 10:00 PM for boys and 9:30 PM for girls. Public Areas: Library and cafeteria usually close by 8:00 PM. Famous Hangout Places Inside: Cafeteria, Gym, Library. Outside: Shastri Nagar (nearby market and cafes). Safety: The locality is generally safe, but it's advisable to avoid late-night roaming.
