Likes

Good infrastructure. The building and blocks are too near.
Cleaning is good. Trees are planted more.
Programs and culturals are good comparing other college.

Dislikes

Teaching should need to improve for quality education.
There was no car parking in the college for students
Ground was small and school children also occupying same ground.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choosed automation and robotics. Which we were studying now and we're the first and also last batch in that college. They closed the course because of less admissions past years. We are branch of mechanical. I don't why we are studying mechanics for 2years

Hi I am Gunanithi. I'm studying in Vels Institute of Science technology and Advanced Studies. My fees per year is 90000. My batchmates are too paying this fees. Our college gives scholarship and they reduce approx 8000 per year

Campus Life

Our college is good and well worth. If you want to enjoy the college life sure you can join in Vels University because it's not depressing the students and faculty are friendly. Check it on google you will get a new life

Admission

I got only 65 percentage in class 12 th. I'm not sure with counselling. Other colleges are not accepting for this mark and asking fees are high. So I planned near me and also good in studies so i planned to join

Faculty

Our staff and management are good. They are too kind abd faster at their works . They are friendly and supportive professors. The marking schemes are good. Exams also easy to write. Raju sir was my favourite teacher.

Night Life

I'm a day scholar so i didn't walk or work in the college. All the night life is for hostel students only . Gym also for hostel student . Campus will finish at 3:30 pm. Library was good but now it is on maintenance.

Placement Experience:

Placements starts from the 7th semester.companies Like tcs,wipro,zoho,infosys vist. The highest packages is 24lap,average 3lpa and around 85%of student get placed. I plan to start my career in IT and gain experience.

Placement Experience:

There are companies but the companies that were told that the good ones, they didn't come so much.. only a few companies that gave a package above 5 lakhs came in for my department.. the rest of them were either 4 lakh package or below it was not very good. even the 1 or 2 good companies that came tehy came for electrical.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

Placement Experience:

So from 6-7th semester they offers placements before that we have placement training in campus.So highest package for 2024 was 45 to 50 lpa,good offer given by amazon and other company also.So the average package is 7.5 lpa and highest package was 50 lpa.so 925 application are accepted in last 2 monts .My plans to get job and then after 2 years may be for higher study or startups.

The curriculum of each course is different and it is followed by the guidance of Anna university, we have several topics and it is under the regulation of 2021 respectively, I feel this easier to learn and there comes an opportunity to do what we learn in theory hour in our laboratory hour it will make more connected to our course, but there is lagging factor that is we are far away from the modern world and we need to put effort to compete with. The exams are not difficult and the frequency of the exam is quite manageable.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 3rd year for placements and also who don't have standing arrears ,if they have standing arrears the clg management will remove them from placements and also the Placements are very poor . The average package is 350000/year . And the maximum package is 15L Last year nearly 100 students out of 180 in cse dept are non-placed , they are forced to write higher studies letter and submit in college . Even though they won't help for any placement side.

Vels University is not that bad

It's very easy to get admission in this college as the admission procedure is very simple. You can directly go to the head office, and you can contact the people sitting in the reception. They'll guide you and throughout the admission. Also, it's near to the airport, which should make a travel entry for the students who are coming from the other states. Also it is situated in a very good place. The college is situated in Pallavaram, which has various like basically everything is present there beat food beat hostels. it's a good place. The location of the college is very good making it very accessible other than the location. The faculties are very nice.
