Likes
- The main thing is about the infrastructure it is so good and so relaxing to spend time there apart from classroom, we have gym area,bistro,canteen, fish pond, garden,church everything is good actually.
- Faculties are also so friendly, some are so good at teaching with their innovative ways. One thing I like is teachers will advice about the future career opportunities,ideas to clear our confusion apart from bookish lectures.
- Our college has canteen and bistro facilities but it's bit costly for me, maybe not for others but the food is good quality actually but they should improve the taste as per the price is not that upto mark. Overall it is ok to eat.
Dislikes
- One thing I hate is the strict environment they make us to feel, oh god! If we forget to wear id card, usage of mobile phones, informal shoes, not bringing college dairy , all this mistakes we have to pay fine of 100,500,1000rs.
- Even if they do program it takes to much time to start , every event, program will start after the class that too there no one should use mobile,or talk to someone, no one should capture the event. If we don't like to attend they lock the doors.
- We feel we are jailed until we are in college. Everything is strictly punishing with those fines and suspension of students.
Course Curriculum Overview
To be honest ???? I wanted to join for easy course and helpfull for my future career. So I joined for bachelor of Commerce. It is not easy also not even difficult. We have to put some effort to score good marks. We have 40 marks for internals and 60 for semester exam. This 40 marks consists of behavior, 2 internal results, notes, seminar. This is somehow difficult to get full marks. Even for rating the teachers we have option for every sem to rate about their teaching, behaviour and whatever we feel about them we can say in the student linways and it is mandatory.
Internships Opportunities
Everything is for the last semester, even Im curious and new to this, once I reach last semester I get to know about the internships more better. But it is mandatory to finish 2 interships to complete the sem. One is for a month in organisation sector and other internship is for atleast a week in non organisational sector
Placement Experience
As I'm in fifth semester, I didn't get any placement information from the college. The next sixth semester the internships are compulsory and then we get placement from the well recognised companies like wells Fargo, Wipro, TCS etc.. It consists of 4lpa to 10 lpa package. The percentage of students to get placement is above 75 . I want to join for the wells Fargo company after my completion of graduation. Hoping for the best
Fees and Financial Aid
As we are paying per year 70000rs , I mean the first semester fees is 35000, second sem is also 35000 within the semester exam we have to pay the fees. For 3 year we have to pay 220500 as it is increased 10% of the fees structure now the course fees for 4th,5th,6th sem is 38500rs They don't say the exact fees structure every sem the tuition fees, admission fees will change even we get to know when we pay the fees. As I'm from the category of SC I didn't feel fees has reduced to me compared to others everyone is paying same fee. Only the government scholarship date is being informed by college rather than that no scholarship is providing for students.
Campus Life
We have every type of events, programs, functions as other colleges. For example inauguration ceremony, prize distribution, events, seminar from different companies, hospitals , about extra courses. Festivals like kannada rajyosthava,yoga day, annual day everything is good.
Admission
I was studied PU in BES College, it was good but the value compared to BES college which is in jayanagar, sfc is good, not recognised college. It was referred from my neighbour who was studying in the same college. St Francis College I joined for degree for BCOM, there I was new to the college, the procedure was like firstly we have to apply for admission through both offline and online. After applying for admission we get a message to visit the college then they say the fees structure and basic details then some interview by the faculty and from the brother. They asked some general knowledge questions, about my previous course, and why I joined this college, hobbies etc. and their said the college rules to be followed
Faculty
Every teachers perspective are different from each other. Some are so good and some are waiting to only clear the portion. We have every type of facilities in our college. I like some teachers who are so friendly and make us laugh and even be like a friends rather than teacher, they make homely feel. Even there teaching skill is so different from others, they take real life examples make us intersting to listen to their lecture. They even share their experience of their student life, experience of teaching etc...
Night Life
We have dj nights performed in the college like every semester.minimum two Events or programs will be held in a month. Yea it is safe to roam around the college at night. It is one way actually even we have traffic police roaming there, nearly 200m we get police ground, market, station everything. Overall it is safe place to roam. Campus timings is 7 to 4 30 We has to be within 8 30 and leave at 2 30 it may extend if we have any function.
