Review for Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering

Course curriculam is actually very much relevent to the industry need. We have enough papers that prepares us well for the placements as well as further studies. Exams are too often. I would suggest to remove the mid sem and take end sem directly as our momenum in learning new skills get disturbed from it.

Very sad to say that chances of campus placement is very very low. Few students get campus placement with 5lpa average package. Few get placements off campus also. And rest everyone prepares for GATE exam.

The tution fees is only 2620 per year. Other fees are Examination, Registrations, Project Works, Internship and Learning softwares fees. All together it comes up to on an avergae approx 50k per year. Actually it's 68k, 65k, 40k and 35k for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and fourth year respectively. Other than this we hotel fees is also around 60k per year. Also Bihar Goverment runs a scheme for us that is Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme in which we get a student loan upto 4 lakhs. In this scheme we do not have to pay any interest for our study period. Later on there is 4% interest for boys and 1% interest for girls.

Campus life is very good. I am enjoying it very well. Busy study schedules, tension of carrer balanced with very good friends, enjoying volleyball and other stuffs and so tasty mess food. We got a very peaceful enviroment in our campus.

Hostel facility is very good. Meal quality is also very awesome. The menu is also decided by us. When we came to the college we got a google form for oting for rooms and from that our room was alloted. We have 3 students in each room for first year. Later on it goes to single room also. There is shortage of rooms for girls right now. They stay outside with average rent 2k per month.

Yes It was my fault that I haven't studied well for the exams. We gave JEE Mains and JEE Advanced for admission in IITs, NITs or IIITs. But I had only 92%ile in JEE Mains so I didn't get any college anywhere else. I am from Bihar so I got admission here. And Yes I got CSE here so I took this. But I have filled Bhagalapur College of Engineering above this in my choice filling in UGEAC conducted BCECE.

Faculty to student ratio is 1 : 60. Most of the faculties are very good and help students a lot. I liked Dr. Amitabh sir the most.We have 2 semesters every year and each semester consists of a mid sem exam and an end sem exam. The level of the exam is easy to moderate but still few students fails to clear the exams. Course curriculam is actually very relevant.

Nightlife is not that much exciting. We do not have gym here, canteen is there but with very few options. Library closes at 5pm. Girls hostel gate closes at 6pm and boys can go anywhere anytime. Area outside the campus is hell, not a single place to hangout.
