Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course I took is biomedical engineering. This course is mainly based on instrumentation in health sectors. It also covers about the rehabilitation sector. We are being provided with projects that include Brain computer interface and gait analysis

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm from college of engineering Guindy, which is one among the reputed university departments of Anna university along with MIT in chrompet and ACT and SAP. The tution fee structure for BE course in Anna university is very affordable. The overall tution fee here, comes less than 2 lakhs. For my first semester I had to pay 37k along with caution deposit and moving with the other semesters I had to pay 20.5k per sem. I didn't apply for scholarships as I failed to meet the income criteria. The hostel fee ranges like about 40k per semester along with the mess and electricity fee

Campus Life

3

There are various clubs and organisations like NCC, NSS, YRC, NSO I'm a part of NSO, we can choose the sports we like, either hockey or basketball or football or cricket we have all the teams. There are also numerous clubs like Leo, Rotaract and saptham and sruthilaya(music) which are active. Events like techofesz Agni and kurukshetra are conducted throughout the semester

Admission

So I was basically a jee aspirant and I had applied for nit initially but failed to clear the cutoffs. Then I got chemical engineering in bits and vit. But the fees was too huge. I wasn't sure about the course as well. So i thought I'll spend it on my pg and not waste it here. CEG has a very affordable price. The admission process is very comfortable, all the details are here in the website auceg.annauniv.edu

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is 1:60. Most of the facilities here had either done their PhD here or they've come from other reputed Colleges like SSN and Mit. Some of them are friendly and easily approached. My favourite faculty here was Kavitha G and Sangeetha mam from ece dept. They really motivated me and Kavitha mam provided and motivated us with lot of projects. They are also faculties who are head weighted. But we do have to manage them as well, for example Rajendran from chemistry dept. The exams here are liberal as well. They'll provide us with important questions. There are 2 assesments and 1 end sem exam per sem. The course curriculum is quite relevant but the lab equipments are faulty

Night Life

4

The in time for hostellers is 8:30 pm, till that they can engage in clubs and hangout in libraries and also we have canteens and huts here and there, we have numerous spots called wifi huts which are great spots to hangout with friends at night and chill. The campus is in the centre of the city, so we have besant nagar and thiruvanmiyur beaches nearby and phoneix mall nearby. So it is a great place if you are a outside person

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is no relevance with the current industry standards and also i chose this course as i saw potential for development and research in this field with the rapid innovation in the AI field. There is a lot of room for improvement like teaching the current industry practices and it's basics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well designed and covered both fundamental and advanced concepts. We choose elective papers each sem one paper from third sem. That selection of elective papers made us to do case study of real world exposure and competency. The curriculum prepared us for the reasonable real world applications. Also workshops and internships bridged the gap between industry expectations and academics. The teaching methods are really supportive and knowledgeable. On the whole the curriculum was strong and but needs to be imapctful.
