The Life in Sona College of Arts and Science

I have chosen the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) due to the core subjects are very much related to the subject of accounting and finance so that i can concentrate on my core ones. Other than this there are Bachelor of Commerce (Computer applications) and Bachelor of Commerce (Corporate Secretaryship) which is been newly added in the current academic year.

The Each Semester the student has to pay Rs. 30,000 per semester as fees (For 2022 - 2025 Batch). After the payment of fees the college will arrange for the Merit scholarship which is been given by the national scholarship portal. For the 2021 - 2024 batch they charged 27,000 per semester and now for the new batches they charge Rs. 35,000 for each sem. Other than this the students have to pay the examination fees that will cost upto Rs. 1500.

Our department consist of Four Clubs named as : 1) Technical Club which involves the students who are indulged in the technical activities. 2) Professional club in which the students who wish to pursue professional courses like Charted accountant, Corporate seceretary are involved. 3) Extension Club which involves the helping of Ashrams and homeless people by providing food and other necessary items. 4) Finance Club which involves the proper utilisation of the department fund. There are multiple books that are always available in the library. There are many Extracurricular activities that each and every department will conduct to boost the students.

The admission process was so easy, I have got the application in the office room and started to fill the details. The staff available in the office room has guided to fill the details mentioned in the form. Then i have compared other colleges with sona college in respect of Feasibility, Infrastructure and also the placement opportunities they offer for the students.

The college has an good faculty to student ratio. The staffs here are very friendly and is very enthusiastic to teach the students in a very understandable manner. I personally like my Head of Department who has been a great inspiration for us.

No i have not faced any Group Discussion Session or any other Tests for the purpose of Admission. They basically checks the 10th and 12th Marks of the candidate in the way which he has performed and based on that the admission is done.

There are 2 of the cafeterias available in our college. One consist of the healthy canteen where most of the items are based on the natural items and related to that. Another cafeteria consist of all the snacks and foods in our college.
