Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum is little old fashioned but this year it has changed for agriculture students with addition of more 60 seats which makes it total 180 students with addition and deletion of subjects and integrating it with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Sudarshan kriya which gives peace of mind.

Internships Opportunities

4

As such we don't have any experience with college assisted internships. But in 4th year agricultural students are going to get 3 major internships, one with industrial companies like OMFED, Bharat masala or goverment institute like NRRI and 2nd is RAWE which is a government oriented program which involves going to field of farmers in different villages and assist them with their daily problems and the last one is working at block level offices with Agricultural officers.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship details- Odisha State Government Emadhabruti Scholarships 2024-25 Aditya Birla Capital Scholarship for Professional Graduation 2024-25 Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships 2024-25 And many more scholarships are available for both UG and PG students.

Campus Life

3

Campus Life is fine I guess and focus on social aspect is pretty great. As for club involvement everything is managed by students and can be improved with the cooperation of more teachers like providing holiday to students for practicing their respective games and infrastructure really needs some improvement.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facility is pretty good. Meal quality is average and for non veg people it's hell because no non veg is allowed inside campus. As for PG or rented rooms it is quite affordable ranging from 3500 for PGs to 15-17k for 2 BHK

Admission

I applied here because many friends came here I didn't want to drop one year for preparing for any exams. Previously I prepared for NEET but I didn't make it in first attempt because I didn't like the idea of becoming a doctor for me. But my family runs agricultural businesses, so I thought about concentrating on what is present with me and also find my passion along with it. I didn't wait for OUAT results and didn't like it's no campus lifestyle idea, so I joined here

Faculty

4

Faculties are overally good, but due to less technology availability and also not adopting to modern teaching techniques it becomes boring. As for exams, 2 exams per semester i.e. mid term and end term which also includes practical exams. Faculties are quite approachable and they understand the matter.

Night Life

3

It is quite nature friendly full of trees and canteens and also a Gaziobo to seat and relax and talk. It also has a gym which has maximum equipments. As for hangout spots outside the college we nearly have to travel 5-6 kms for that.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture is one of the important and relevant subjects out of all. If we say about Indian context then most of the people are dependent on agriculture. So in India it's relevance is very high. This curriculum consists all type of subjects like agronomy, soil science, economics, marketing, pathology, genetics and breeding, horticulture etc. this course is more based on practical than the theory. In our curriculum the mid sem occurs in the middle of the semester which is approx march in winter semester and in September- october in monsoon semester and the end semester exam held in end of the semester which is in December in monsoon semester and may in winter semester.

I generally loved how they showed they give 100% placements. But there is not any. The teaching methods however is very good as they give us mainly practical knowledge and skill based education. Which really helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As India is a agricultural country most people depends on agriculture so I choose this course that I think it might have more scope. Through this course, we covered both theory and practice; we planted crops, prepared the field, applied manure to the soil, and irrigated the field. The difficulty is not too hard, and there are about 4 exams in a year, which is very good. In this course we must visit the village and interact with village people know their problems and try to find solutions. In our college we are less interactive with village farmers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Agriculture course is highly vast and informative. This course actually provides economic knowledge about the food we consume in our daily life and also provides the information about how they are grown and taken care of by our hardworking farmers. And talking about the difficulty level it's actually easy and we just have to get involved in this course as much as we can. Improvement this course requires is to give proper guidance to our farmers and also to provide them with proper wages they deserve.
