Course Curriculum Overview

5

BAMS because I have seen people on medical conditions in my home and they were on alopathy. Ever since they started Ayurvedic I have seen visible changes in their health conditions and therefore motivation came from home to choose this course. I am glad to be a part of this college as our course don't just teaches us already existing things but what all we can develop in Ayurvedic is also taught to us.

Placement Experience

5

Placements in medical colleges depends on Internships as that's mandatory things. So our hospital or rather college gives us opportunity to intern there itself and stipend of 25k is provided then. Once we pass out getting salaries in lakhs is not a big deal for us.

Fees and Financial Aid

Sri Sri University Cuttack is one of the private universities in Orissa to study Medicals. Since it's a private college the fees is around 4 lakhs a year and because we have to stay at the campus the hostel fees to have been beared by us. The fees of hostels is 1.8 lakhs a year.

Campus Life

5

Our campus is 200 acres and from a multipurpose hall to new seminar hall which can accommodate 1000 odd people at a time is definitely the biggest highlight of our campus. We also have medical College and an hospital block where hundreds of people are treated daily. We have a superb fest called Oricon and it's an all departments fest which is celebrated in April every year.

Hostel Facilities

5

There are 4-5 boys hostels and in first year Dormitory is assigned and then from next year we get the option for choosing 2 seater or either three seater rooms. Mess is good and twice in a week we are served non veg food.

Admission

I applied at many colleges as NEET i gave so that I could get admission in AIIMS. However, I couldn't and therefore I chose one of the best private colleges in my state and Sri Sri University is that for sure. NEET score is accepted here and cut-offs are generally high but for BAMS, it isn't that high. There are in all 100 seats for BAMS and around 50k students compete for that.

Faculty

5

BAMS faculties of our college are proper researchers as along with teaching us they keep on innovating and researching the same. They are arguably one of the best teachers as they don't even use notes or books while teaching and even the toughest of medical terms are by heart to them.

Night Life

5

Hostels intime is 9 pm and it's enough as we hangout at some of the iconic places close to our campus like Naraj Sunset Point and Peacock Valley. Very famous Pandav Bakhara caves is also nearby and our campus have four canteens so no need to go out for food purpose.

I always want to be a doctor so I choose BAMS because I couldn't got a seat for mbbs . BAMS is our own system of medicine. The central govt is promoting ayurveda, these are the things triggered me to choose BAMS. But it is very unfortunate that the state govt of odisha is not promoting BAMS which is very pathetic.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose BAMS because of the fact that after 2014 the Ayush department got an excellent development in field of medicine and public around india started giving the same importance as the modern medicine (MBBS) Bams prepares the individual student to cure every disease in every circumstance because it teaches every tiny tiny details of the disease and how it can be treated clinically The course curriculum can be improved in terms of mainting the proper schedule of the topic in all the subjects and teaching should be more digita4 The frequency of exam is moderate and the difficulty level is moderate to hard

I choose this because Ayurveda is the ancient method of treatment and the medical field. There are a number of teacher ratio is 4:1.All are well qualified with post-graduate degrees and Ph.D. also. Teaching methods are both old school-like and digital also, and exams are conducted regularly on a gap of 30 days, it's not hard but you have to learn a lot.
